Olympic Star Grant Hackett Lists Luxurious Melbourne Mansion for $8.4 Million!

The luxurious Melbourne residence of renowned Olympian Grant Hackett is being offered for sale, with an estimated value between $7,950,000 and $8,400,000.

In the year 2021, Grant, who is 44 years old, along with his spouse Sharlene, aged 39, privately acquired a luxurious two-storey mansion in Brighton, boasting five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The estimated value of this property ranges between $5 million to $6 million.

In the posh, sun-kissed district of the ‘Golden Mile’, affectionately called home, I couldn’t resist the urge to transform our humble abode. So, I rolled up my sleeves and embarked on a grand renovation project, turning it into a masterpiece that would make even the Hackett’s proud!

As reported by The Herald Sun, the home underwent a complete overhaul, with every high-end detail and accessory chosen meticulously.

Nestled just a stone’s throw away (approximately 100 meters) from the scenic waterfront, I find myself in an extraordinary location boasting a magnificent entryway and an intelligent open-concept design. This design cleverly incorporates a fashionable mezzanine level, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces for a truly captivating living experience.

The facility offers a dedicated media area, a personal office, and a spacious lounge which flows into a elegantly designed dining area.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I must share that my ideal space includes a refreshing outdoor swimming pool, an enticing alfresco entertainment zone for social gatherings, a cozy guest room for visitors, a fitness center to maintain peak health, and a basketball hoop for some friendly competition.

Remarkable features encompass a spacious, five-meter marble countertop for the kitchen, elegant cream oak herringbone flooring, and contemporary pendant lights that serve as design accents.

In the master bedroom, you’ll find a luxurious bathroom (ensuite) that features a spacious double shower and a unique backlit splashback, crafted from stunning Madagascan Lemurian Blue granite.

Another highlight is the landscaped garden, which hosts an outdoor kitchen.   

Grant and Sharlene share son Edward, five, and eighteen-month-old daughter Olympia. 

Additionally, he has twin children, Charlize and Jagger, from his earlier marriage to the Australian singer, Candice Alley.

Fans were taken aback when the pair revealed they exchanged vows in a small, private wedding held in Melbourne during December of 2020.

Expressing heartfelt praise for his wife-to-be, Grant couldn’t contain his excitement any longer about their upcoming marriage – despite the fact that the pandemic necessitated a more intimate ceremony than they initially envisioned.

He expressed extensively: ‘I am deeply grateful to have you as my wonderful spouse, @sharhackett. Despite a year full of unpredictability, it has been an ideal conclusion to 2020.’

Due to ongoing delays caused by COVID-19 in arranging our wedding, and our desire for everyone – from near and far, both local and international guests – to be present, Sharlene and I have decided to officially get married!

The former athlete added a tribute to the couple’s son Edward Jagger Hackett.

‘Thank you to Jagger Hackett for being the most amazing ring bearer and best man,’ Grant wrote.

Grant and Sharlene announced their engagement in October 2019.

Back in July 2019, Grant openly shared during an interview with The Sunday Telegraph that he and Sharlene were anticipating the arrival of a new family member (i.e., a baby).

‘I felt I was going to hit 40 and I wanted another opportunity as a dad,’ he said.

‘I felt strongly about having additional kids, yet I desired this step only with someone truly dedicated, who would become my long-term companion.’

Grant and Sharlene welcomed Edward in January 2020.

Sharlene met Grant on the Gold Coast in 2015, and began dating in August 2018.

The athlete considers his connection with Sharlene to be remarkable, adding that she positively impacts him, particularly in areas of diet and nutrition (as a dessert chef).

In the year 2000, during the Sydney Olympics, he achieved prominence by clinching the gold medal in the men’s 1500-meter freestyle swimming competition.

He triumphed again in the same event in 2004 in Athens.
