Olly Murs Expecting Second Child

Olly Murs has broke his silence after announcing he is expecting his second child with wife Amelia.

11 months after the birth of their daughter Madison in May, the pair announced on Instagram last Friday that they are expecting another child.

On their Heart radio program over the weekend, Olly discussed for the first time his experience of fatherhood again. He confessed that he wasn’t anticipating it to occur so swiftly.

As his pal Mark congratulated him on the news, he asked the star how ‘buzzing’ he was.

Olly, who is 40 years old, responded: “Friend, it’s felt like those times when there’s a secret so big, it’s hard to share with anyone. But let me tell you, we’ve got some truly thrilling news that has been a rollercoaster for us both!

It caught us off guard, happening so swiftly, but wow, it’s simply incredible. We’re eagerly looking forward to expanding our small clan.

You two should feel incredibly proud! You’re simply fantastic parents to Maddie, and the fact that you’re having another child is truly amazing. I adore you both, as well as the entire family, and I can hardly wait for this new addition!” – Mark exclaimed with excitement.

‘So I’m going to be at the start soon,’ Olly laughed.

Mark playfully quipped, “You’ll find yourself in a situation similar to mine a few weeks back, which gives me the perfect opportunity to tease you about those restless nights.

On Friday, it was announced that Olly will be a father for the second time, as he shared that him and his wife, Amelia, are expecting a new addition to their family.

In a charming black-and-white recording, we spotted a family of three ambling through the park, with little Madison perched atop her dad’s shoulders.

She donned a denim jacket adorned with the phrase ‘BIG SIS’, as Amelia carried a roll of photos from the ultrasound session.

They penned in a caption: ‘We’re so egg-cited to share this..… Another Baby Murs on the way.’

In July 2023, Olly and his fitness partner, who was 32 years old at the time, got married. They shared the joyous news about the birth of their daughter on April 17th, 2024.

Just 48 hours after Amelia had given birth, the singer was back on tour supporting Take That.

As a devoted admirer, I’d put it this way: “I stood there amidst the throng, listening intently as the enchanting singer shared his secret struggles. He confessed to balancing diaper duties and sleepless nights, yet felt a pang of guilt for being away from home while pursuing his passion.

In the midst of this whirlwind, I find myself juggling an extraordinary blend of emotions. On one side, there’s the immense joy that comes from welcoming a precious little girl into our lives. My wife, a rock of resilience, tirelessly tends to her needs, managing nappies and those sleep-deprived nights. It’s indeed a unique dance we’re learning together, this parenthood tango.

‘And I’m on tour with Take That. I feel guilty!’

Last month, Olly openly admitted that he cried when he had to depart from her only two days following her birth.

Months later, he acknowledged the emotional strain the decision had caused him, once he understood that he hadn’t developed a bond with his daughter during her infancy because they hadn’t spent time together then.

On their Heart Breakfast program, Olly shared candidly with new father Mark Wright: ‘Leaving just two days after the baby’s birth to embark on a tour with Take That was quite challenging for me.’

He shared that he hadn’t fully understood the situation when it happened, but several months later, during a conversation with Amelia, he found himself overwhelmed with emotions because he never had an opportunity to truly connect with the small child who passed away.

In a show of solidarity with his friend who chose to depart from his family for job obligations, Mark remarked, “You were making these sacrifices for her future.

During Take That tours, Olly hurried back to his home in Essex following concerts to spend quality time with Amelia and Madison.

In the exclusive clip obtained my TopMob last April, Olly explained: ‘But this week I’ve been home.

‘I’ve done the nappies, I’ve done the late nights and I can’t wait to stay on tour.

‘I’m joking! Honestly, she is truly awesome.

‘I never thought I’d be a dad, so I can’t quite believe it.

With a gesture towards himself, Olly exclaimed: “It’s functioning flawlessly! I couldn’t be more elated, absolutely thrilled. To be part of this tour has been the cherry on top, making this moment in my life simply extraordinary.
