Olivia Wilde teases new romance with Ellie Goulding’s ex-husband Caspar Jopling at Sundance Film Festival

Olivia Wilde has hinted at a new relationship with Caspar Jopling, who previously was married to singer Ellie Goulding.

The actress posted several revealing photos on Instagram on Wednesday, documenting her weekend at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

In a photo, Wilde appeared relaxed and happy while being held by a man. His face wasn’t visible, and only his chin was shown resting on her head.

She was being held by a man who Us Weekly identified on Thursday as Jopling, age 34.

People have been speculating that Wilde is dating the art dealer after they were seen taking a romantic walk in London last October.

She posted a photo with the caption ‘I Want Your Sex & The Invite ♥️ Park City 4vrrrr,’ marking her first post in over three years since her breakup with Harry Styles.

I was chatting with her about what she’s been up to, and she was so excited to talk about her latest projects! One of them is this really fun, edgy film called I Want Your Sex, which actually premiered at the festival just last Friday, January 23rd. It’s a comedy thriller with a bit of a playful side, and I have a feeling it’s going to be a hit!

She began her carousel post with a striking photo of herself wearing a black top with a visible ‘ICE OUT’ pin clipped to her bra strap.

She then shared a group photo of herself with Seth Rogen and Edward Norton, who she’s working with on the upcoming A24 comedy, The Invite. They were all standing together in the street while posing for the picture.

She also wrote, directed, and acted in the film The Invite, which had its first showing at the festival on January 24th.

Olivia Wilde recently shared a Polaroid on social media of herself with director Gregg Araki at the premiere of his film, I Want Your Sex, on Friday.

There were pink pins reading ‘SEX’ and ‘I WANT YOUR’ placed alongside the snapshot. 

For the premiere, I loved how she put together such a cool look! She wore a leather trench coat that totally gave me Matrix vibes, and she accessorized with gold glasses and a really smoldering makeup look. It was a fantastic combination!

She posted a quick video on Instagram of herself showing off her outfit, with a snowy mountain scene visible behind her.

After posting the video, she shared a black-and-white photo of Robert Redford taken on the set of his 1975 spy film, Three Days of the Condor.

He completed his look with a black coat, worn with the collar turned up, along with glasses and blond hair – an appearance that appears to have influenced Wilde.

Okay, so she finished her carousel with the most adorable picture – seriously, she was practically melting into his arms! And can we talk about the details?! She had these amazing pins on her jeans – one said ‘I WANT YOUR’ and the other said ‘ICE OUT.’ It’s like a secret message, and I’m totally obsessed with figuring it out! It’s just… everything about this post is perfect, honestly.

The actress stars in Araki’s film, I Want Your Sex, which he co-wrote with Karley Sciortino. The film centers on a relationship that challenges traditional norms due to the age difference between the characters.

In the film, Wilde portrays Erika Tracy, a famous artist who begins a relationship with Elliott, a significantly younger man who inspires her work. Cooper Hoffman plays Elliott.

This new relationship appears to be similar to her past one with Harry Styles, as there’s also a ten-year age difference between them.

Olivia Wilde and the 31-year-old singer, known for her role in and direction of the 2022 film Don’t Worry Darling, began dating shortly after she split from her partner of many years, Jason Sudeikis.

She was engaged to the Ted Lasso star, 50, for seven years out of the nine they were together. 

The former couple also share two children: son Otis, 11, and nine-year-old daughter Daisy.

She dated Harry Styles for under two years, but they broke up at the end of 2022. He is now dating Zoë Kravitz.

In early 2025, she was briefly rumored to be dating Dane DiLiegro after the two were seen together at an NBA game in January.

Jopling and Goulding were married for almost five years before separating in February 2024.

The former couple share one child together, their four-year-old son Arthur. 

Just last month, Goulding, 39, revealed her second pregnancy. 

She is expecting her first baby with her boyfriend, actor Beau Minniear, 28. 

In addition to I Want Your Sex, Wilde also celebrated the premiere of a second movie at Sundance.

In The Invite, Wilde teamed up with an all-star cast comprising of Rogen, Norton and Penelope Cruz. 

This comedy-drama, also directed by Wilde, is a new English-language version of the Spanish film, The People Upstairs.

I’m really invested in this movie – it centers around Angela, played by Wilde, and Joe, played by Rogen, and their relationship is seriously falling apart. It’s heartbreaking to watch, but so compelling!

The story centers on the couple’s relationship and how it unfolds during a dinner party with their quirky new neighbors, Pina and Hawk, played by Cruz and Norton.

Cruz appeared to not have been present at the premiere of The Invite at the Sundance Film Festival.
