Olivia Rodrigo calls Israel-Gaza conflict ‘horrific and completely unacceptable’ in pro-Palestine message

This past weekend, Olivia Rodrigo expressed her backing for the people of Palestine through posts on her Instagram Stories.

She encouraged her supporters to make contributions to UNICEF, just as she did herself, to aid the numerous individuals, particularly children, who have been impacted by the conflict between Israel and HAMAS.

Rodrigo, aged 22, expressed his deep sorrow in simple terms, stating, ‘I can’t find the right words to express the pain I feel watching the suffering of the innocent people in Palestine.’

People in Gaza, which includes mothers, fathers, and their children, are experiencing severe hunger, lack of water, and being prevented from receiving essential medical treatment and humanitarian assistance.

In simpler terms, the artist from “Drivers License” expressed, ‘No kid, whether they are in Israel, Palestine, or any part of the world, should experience the hardships that these children are currently going through.’

It’s utterly reprehensible and unjustifiable. Ignoring them would mean disregarding our common human values.

This isn’t the first time Olivia has made a political statement.

Since the beginning of her career, she’d been outspoken about women’s reproductive rights.

Rodrigo expressed to the Glastonbury audience that he intended to dedicate the next song to the five justices of the Supreme Court, implying they seem unconcerned about personal freedoms in their decisions.

The melody is dedicated to the judges: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh. It expresses strong disapproval towards them.

And the Vampire singer puts her money where her mouth is when it comes to injustice in our world.

In 2023, she founded a nonprofit, Fund 4 Good, which is dedicated to women’s issues.

In a conversation with People in 2023, Rodrigo stated his aim was to boost visibility for advocacy groups focusing on women’s concerns not just in America, but also across all territories he intends to address.

I’m really looking forward to it, as I believe it will be both rewarding and possibly fruitful.

A significant portion of the funds is directed towards organizations offering reproductive healthcare services, aimed at assisting those in need.

Last month, Olivia put on an energetic set to close out the 2025 Glastonbury Festival.
