The recent takeoff of Flight NS-31 was a historic event, as it represented the first mission with an entirely female crew since cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova embarked on her solo space journey back in 1963 for Russia.

Prior to the mission, Munn criticized it as extravagant given the high price tag of over $50 million per 11 minutes spent in space. She exclaimed, “It’s beyond comprehension for many who struggle with basic necessities like food.

Actress and model Emily Ratajkowski, aged 33, voiced her criticism of the project on Monday, expressing her dismay on her TikTok account.

‘That space mission this morning? That’s end time s**t. Like, this is beyond parody,’ she ranted.

You are passionate about preserving our planet, Mother Earth, yet you find yourself boarding a spacecraft financed and constructed by a corporation that appears to be causing significant harm to it.

Ratajkowski expressed puzzlement over the need for this swift trip, considering the vast resources invested in sending these women to space: ‘Consider the current condition of our world and ponder on the amount of resources spent on placing these women in space.’

‘For what? What was the marketing there?’ 

She added: ‘And then to try to make it like… I’m disgusted, literally I’m disgusted.’

Recently, actress Olivia Munn criticized an upcoming space mission during her appearance on Today With Jenna And Friends.

She asked, “What are their actions? To clarify, can you explain their motive?” She added, “While I realize it may not be fashionable to say this, there are numerous critical matters ongoing globally.

Munn then added: ‘What are you going to do up in space? What are you doing up there?’

The mother of two likened the event to a thrilling ride at Disneyland, then pondered aloud as to why the travelers felt compelled to share their experiences with others, rather than enjoying the experience, returning, and keeping it to themselves.

She pointed out, emphasizing her point, ‘It seems rather extravagant, I must admit – but think about how expensive a trip to space is! There are many individuals who struggle just to buy eggs.’

As a passionate admirer, I couldn’t help but be thrilled when host, Jenna Bush Hager, shared the exciting news that our all-female space team would embark on their journey in style, or as she put it, ‘in glam.’ This unexpected twist left Olivia momentarily puzzled.

‘They are getting their hair done, their makeup done, even eyelash extensions,’ Hager continued.

Munn was left speechless once again and then questioned: ‘They said this out loud?’

The actress gave a silent negative nod, and Hager jokingly remarked, “Well, it must have taken tons of eyelash adhesive to keep that baby in place. That’s all I can think about right now.

Comedian Amy Schumer participated in the criticism by posting videos of herself satirically mimicking the project’s purpose, suggesting she was partaking along with others.

She shared on social media, “At the very last moment, I was included for a trip to space! Here I am, even holding a toy black panther in jest – imitating Katy, who symbolically carried a daisy, representing her daughter named Daisy.

‘I’ve got something with me. It doesn’t matter much to me, but it was in my bag when I was on the subway and received a text asking if I wanted to go to space. So, I’m off to space!’

‘Thank you to everyone who got me here, I’ll see you guys in space.’  

In another scene, Schumer was found reclining on a medical couch within a doctor’s office, persistently talking about the mission while her words seemed blurred, hinting that she might have been influenced by some type of anesthesia.

She expressed: ‘I’ve been chosen for a space mission today, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Lauren Sanchez, Katy Perry, and Amanda Nguyen have been my sources of inspiration throughout this incredible journey. I’m absolutely delighted to be part of the space team, and I’m really enjoying it.’

I’ve long harbored a dream of venturing into space… and it strikes me as rather amusing to consider who came up with the name for this vast expanse. Did they perhaps ponder, “What should we call it? It’s so spacious, you understand”? And then, in a flash of inspiration, they simply declared, “Let’s call it space!” I can’t help but wonder if that was the best they could think of. But regardless, I’m eagerly anticipating my journey there soon.

After making it back safely to Texas, Perry was captured on camera planting a kiss on the ground, an image that swiftly went viral on social media platforms.

On her Instagram Stories, Olivia Wilde posted a meme that showed her expressing her disagreement through a series of kissing images.

Wilde’s shared meme alluded to the current rise in airplane accidents, featuring two images of Perry – one depicting her kissing the ground and another showing her punching the air – accompanied by this caption: “Disembarking from a commercial flight in 2025.
