Olivia Molly Rogers breaks down as she makes tearful confession about marriage to Justin McKeone: ‘Mum warned me’

Olivia Molly Rogers has shared a sad story about her wedding day with her former husband, Justin McKeone.

The 33-year-old former Miss Universe Australia revealed her mother, Nicky Klemich, told her back in February 2022 that she could change her mind.

Olivia shared on the Inherited podcast that she was incredibly frightened that day, and confided that she wasn’t sure if she was making the correct decision. She said this person was the only one who truly understood how scared she felt.

She questioned my decision, but the wedding was scheduled for Saturday, and my Mum had travelled all the way from Adelaide to spend the entire week with us.

Olivia became very upset while explaining that she and Justin had a big argument, leading her mother to step in and ask her to cancel the wedding.

Olivia shared that a particular event pushed her to her limit, and her mother was there to support her the next day. Her mother told her they had the option to cancel the wedding.

By then, Olivia felt committed and decided to go through with the wedding, even though her mother had advised against it.

I was actually on my way to collect the wedding dress when I started getting messages from friends who had just arrived in Melbourne, telling me how excited they were to be there, she explained.

I worried that canceling would not only disappoint me, but also everyone who had made plans to attend.

I was worried about the financial loss for everyone involved, as people had already spent money on flights, hotels, and preparing for the event. I just didn’t feel able to go through with it. I’m very thankful to my Mum for telling me she’d support my decision if I cancelled.

Olivia and Justin ended their marriage in October 2022, only eight months after getting married.

Rumors of a split started in September when fans observed she had changed her Instagram name back to her original one and removed all photos from her wedding in February.

As a lifestyle observer, I remember when these two first got together back in 2018. They seemed so happy, and I recall seeing some adorable photos from their New York trip in August 2022 – those were the last pictures of them together that I saw. It’s always sad to see couples go their separate ways, but life happens!

The Adelaide-born model addressed her break-up on social media in October 2022.

After eight months of marriage, Olivia made the difficult decision to leave Justin, having first shared her feelings with her therapist.

After four and a half years together, Justin and I have decided to end our relationship. It was a difficult decision.

The pair got engaged in 2019, but their wedding was postponed due to the Covid pandemic. 

The wedding took place in February 2022 at Terindah Estate, a beautiful location on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria.
