Olivia Attwood made a lighthearted comment about needing a ‘straitjacket’ as she continues to deal with difficulties following her breakup with husband Bradley Dack.
Earlier this month, 34-year-old and former Love Island contestant confirmed her separation from Bradley. Sources say the marriage ended because he broke her trust and acted inappropriately.
Since her breakup, Olivia has been keeping busy with work. She shared that on Wednesday, her day included a photoshoot, the EE BAFTA Rising Star Party, and even a spray tan late at night around 11pm.
Olivia shared with her followers that just as she was hoping to go to bed, she found out her washing machine had stopped working.
She shared a photo of a broken machine in her London home with a caption joking about the stress of dealing with it. She wrote, ‘It’s leaking everywhere! I’m getting up at 5 a.m. – expect to see me wearing a straitjacket soon!’
Olivia is staying incredibly busy, and her workload will continue with her new role hosting the cooking competition, The Heat, on ITVX.
Following her first public comments about the split on Instagram – where she confessed she felt overwhelmed and simply wants Bradley to be happy – Olivia has now participated in a glamorous photoshoot.
She and Bradley separated in January after being married for two years. Reports suggested he had broken her trust, but the specific details of their split haven’t been made public.
Olivia stopped following Bradley on Instagram, and she was seen without her engagement and wedding rings. Bradley, however, is still wearing his rings.
The television personality has been open about a very challenging start to the year, balancing a busy work life with the difficulties of a relationship ending.
In addition to her podcast, Olivia’s House, and her radio show on KISS FM with Pete Wicks, Olivia is still working on the next season of her documentary, Getting Filthy Rich. She’s also excited to announce her new partnership with Garnier.
I was chatting with Jamie Laing on his podcast, Great Company, the other day, and I opened up about what things are like with Bradley. It was a really honest conversation, and I shared a bit about our relationship.
She openly discussed how close she is with her fans and mentioned the difficult year she and Bradley went through before their split.
Olivia explained that she’s always honest and open with people, and doesn’t like to mislead anyone. She believes many will connect with the challenges Brad and she faced this past year.
Oh my gosh, it’s just…when you see couples, still young, both really focused on their jobs, with those super demanding careers? It’s so easy for them to drift apart, you know? They get so caught up in everything that they forget to actually connect with each other. It’s heartbreaking, honestly. I see it happening and just want to shout, ‘Talk to each other!’ It’s just…so easy to lose that spark when life gets so hectic.
It feels like a shameful secret that people avoid discussing. But after I brought it up, I was surprised how many others shared that they’d experienced the same thing with their partners – it’s more common than I realized.
Relationships definitely take effort. It’s not about making them feel like a chore, but you really have to actively invest time and energy to make them work.
Okay, so, I’ve been following her for ages, and honestly, it’s been heartbreaking watching everything unfold. Over the last year, she’s been so brave, just sharing everything about her marriage problems with us, her fans. It felt so real, you know? Like she really trusted us with what she was going through. It’s been tough to see her struggle, but I admire her openness so much.
In September, when questioned about her relationship, she acknowledged the past six months had been difficult. This followed photos surfacing of her appearing affectionate with Pete on a boat in Ibiza.
Olivia shared that as her career flourished, with her TV shows – including ‘Getting Filthy Rich’ – being renewed, work began to take precedence over her relationship with Bradley. They found themselves constantly juggling their demanding schedules.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, she explained that her relationship with Brad hasn’t always been easy. They’ve experienced many highs and lows, and the past six months have been particularly difficult.
Our work is the most important thing, both his and mine, and we’re constantly figuring out how to balance it with our relationship.
Long-term relationships require consistent effort, and it’s honest to admit that things can be challenging. It’s not always easy or glamorous, but that’s just part of being in a committed partnership, even if people don’t often talk about it.
We like sharing positive moments on Instagram, but we want to be honest – life isn’t always perfect. There have been challenges, and things haven’t always been easy for everyone involved. It’s been a complicated situation with a lot going on.
Everyone makes mistakes – I’ve certainly made my share, and so has Brad. It’s tempting to put on a perfect facade, but if you look closely, you’ll realize nobody is truly flawless.
