Oblivion Remake Release Date May Reportedly Be Next Week

According to one source, it’s possible that the highly anticipated reboot of “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” might release within the next week.

Last week, Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb hinted, based on his source, that the remake could potentially be released unexpectedly as early as this month.

Currently, Grubb has refined his focus even more. During his recent broadcast on the “Game Mess Mornings” (as reported by VGC), he shared:

Next week, or more specifically, the final week of this month, we can expect the show to discuss an upcoming event that we previously mentioned as being imminent. In other words, keep an eye out for it around April 21st.

Apparently, it will undergo a ‘shadow drop’ – a term others have used as well, though I’ve independently confirmed this. The drop is expected towards the end of the current month, and I must say, I’m quite looking forward to it.

There have been discussions about a remake of the film “Oblivion” for quite some time now, but Bethesda has yet to make an official announcement regarding it. It is rumored that Virtuos, who are currently developing the remake of “Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater“, are also working on this project.

More on this one as it happens – keep your eyes on next week!
