Oasis’ tell-all documentary is slapped with woke trigger warnings over ‘smoking and drinking’

In the Nineties, they became well-known for their wild partying and indulgent behavior, living life to the fullest by adopting a rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle.

Undoubtedly, ardent Oasis fans might find it surprising that the band’s latest revealing documentary carries “woke” cautionary labels regarding common activities such as smoking and drinking.

This year, the band’s highly anticipated reunion comes 16 years following their iconic split, and it’s being celebrated with a 70-minute documentary titled “Oasis: Definitely.” This unique production offers a rare glimpse into the band’s private moments and previously unseen backstage footage.

Before watching this film rated 15, it’s important to note that scenes containing people smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol occur frequently.

The movie, produced by ex-boss of Creation Records, Tim Abbot, likewise advises against obscene hand movements and mentions instances related to cocaine usage and experiencing a drug-induced high.

According to the British Board of Film Classification, this material includes extremely vulgar language, such as “f-word,” “breast,” “penis,” “asshole,” and “bastard.

TopMob has contacted the filmmakers for comment.

I can’t contain my excitement as an ardent fan! It’s rumored that a movie is being made to capture the magic of the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher’s reunion tour comeback on celluloid.

I can’t contain my excitement! It’s me, your ultimate fan, and guess what? The legendary Steven Knight is taking charge as the overseer and producer of this upcoming masterpiece! And get this – Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace are stepping up to direct it all! This is going to be nothing short of spectacular!

As a dedicated admirer, I can’t help but acknowledge that while Steven Moffat may be widely recognized as the mastermind behind the captivating Cillian Murphy crime drama, his genius extends far beyond this realm. He is the creative force behind Taboo, All the Light We Cannot See, A Thousand Blows, and even scored an Oscar nomination for penning 2002’s Dirty Pretty Things. Simply put, he’s a multi-talented artist whose work never ceases to amaze me.

It hasn’t been revealed exactly what the film from Oasis will offer to fans, but it’s speculated that it will feature personal videos of the Gallagher brothers along with concert performances, similar to the style of their past works by Dylan and Will.

On Friday, I found myself right in the midst of an exhilarating whirlwind as I attended the initial show of the much-awaited comeback tour by the iconic band at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The atmosphere was electric, and it truly felt like history being made!

Over 75,000 spectators witnessed a historical moment when, after 16 years apart, Noel (age 58) and Liam (age 52) shared the same stage for the first time. On this particular Friday, they presented themselves united as a reunited band.

On the subsequent evening, the previously feuding siblings demonstrated irrefutably their reconciliation by sharing a heartwarming moment as they gracefully danced together on stage, holding hands, to the applause of their affectionate audience.

At the concert over the weekend, Noel publicly acknowledged Oasis co-founder Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs and praised him for helping to reconcile their relationship with his brother Liam.

During certain moments at night, as the band came back for an encore, Noel encouraged the crowd to cheer for Bonehead, stating: “Playing the guitar, without him, this whole thing wouldn’t have taken place!

Bonehead was a founding member of Oasis, joining forces with the Gallagher brothers, Paul McGuigan (also known as Guigsy), and Tony McCarroll in the band’s early days.

As a die-hard fan last year, I couldn’t help but feel exhilarated when I heard whispers within the music community that our beloved guitarist was not just a passenger, but one of the key forces propelling the much-anticipated reunion.

In November, it was announced that he was extremely happy because the band had reunited – with both Liam and Noel apparently eager for him to join, following his efforts to bring them back together.

According to a source close to the situation, The Sun was informed that the Oasis clan has reconnected quite profoundly. Bonehead is overjoyed, and even Noel has invited members of his own band into the mix.

In a recent statement, it was mentioned that Bonehead, having successfully fought off tonsil cancer in 2023, might deserve recognition for his role in resolving the long-standing dispute between the two brothers.

A source near the negotiation process shared with The Mirror that Bonehead is among the select individuals who are friends with them, and moreover, he has been making efforts in this regard as well. Fortunately, his efforts have now borne fruit.
