Oasis' support act 'confirmed' for their long-awaited reunion tour as 14 million fans are set to battle it out to get their hands on tickets

As a long-time fan of Oasis and someone who has spent countless hours and hard-earned money trying to secure tickets for their shows, I can’t help but feel frustrated and disappointed by this recent ticket fiasco. It seems like every time there’s a major concert event, the same thing happens – greedy resellers swoop in and jack up prices, leaving genuine fans high and dry.

Blossoms have ‘signed on to support Oasis’ on their huge comeback tour next year.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be part of the Indie band joining the Gallagher brothers on stage during their performances at Heaton Park in Manchester. Can’t wait for this epic gig!

The Stockport band boasts three number-one albums in the UK, and they had the opportunity to perform as an opening act for Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds during their unique concert at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall earlier this year.

For quite some time, Noel, Liam, and the band known as Blossoms have been good friends. Given that their own roots are in Manchester, it made perfect sense for them to be invited to open for Oasis, according to a source who spoke to The Sun.

The news will be shared at an appropriate time, but it’s confirmed that Blossoms are set to join Oasis for their performances at Heaton Park – needless to say, they eagerly accepted the opportunity.

For them, it feels like coming full circle since their initial performance took place at Oasis, Heaton Park, was by none other than Tom Ogden and Joe Donovan.

As a devoted admirer, I’m excited to share that rumors suggest Noel and Liam might be secretly uniting in the Southern part of France, paving the way for their upcoming tour. Needless to say, enthusiasts like myself are eagerly waiting to secure tickets!

On Friday, Liam, aged 51, departed for the French Riviera accompanied by his mother Peggy, who’s 81, his fiancée Debbie Gwyther, and their rescue dog Buttons. Meanwhile, Noel was spotted at his recording studios in north London.

However, sources claimed Noel, 57, will soon be joining them all and their mother is thrilled.

According to a source, Peggy is ecstatic because her sons have reconciled after more than a decade of being estranged.

On Tuesday, Liam, a guitarist and his brother, revealed their plans to reunite on stage after a gap of 15 years. They’ll be performing shows throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The duo is anticipated to receive an enormous sum of around £50 million from these performances, and the initial event is scheduled for July 4 in Cardiff.

In the Matt Morgan podcast, he mentioned that during his vacation, he plans to travel extensively. Specifically, he’s heading to the south of France for a week, followed by a week in Ibiza.

After that, I’ll be in London for a week, followed by a stay in Greece for a few weeks, and possibly a trip to Los Angeles to catch up with friends.

After it was reported that Noel apparently gave in and consented to an Oasis reunion over a series of late-night phone conversations with his brother Liam, they resolved their 15-year long disagreement.

In 2009, the tense brother-sister dynamic reached its peak following an argument backstage in Paris, which ultimately resulted in Noel’s departure from the famous Britpop group.

Over the past few years, Liam has been eager to reconcile with his brother and restore Oasis, but his elder brother has dashed those hopes.

After wrapping up his performance at Reading Festival, Liam hinted that an announcement might be made on Tuesday at 8:00am. A sign resembling the Oasis logo was flashed on a giant screen, followed by its sharing on both Oasis’s and Liam’s official Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Fans found themselves enraged on Friday, as it was discovered that resale tickets were being sold for high prices shortly after people in the country had successfully obtained passes for the upcoming UK tour of next summer.

Starting from 7 pm on Friday, the initial tickets became available for purchase to the fortunate ones who secured a valid pre-sale access code. The anticipation is high as millions prepare to compete for the chance to witness the legendary band during the general sale happening on Saturday.

However, while some were thrilled with their ticket purchases, others were left furious as ruthless scalpers swiftly began reselling tickets at exorbitant prices. The FanFair Alliance, an organization advocating against massive secondary ticketing, stated that they discovered 80 listings aiming to generate a shocking £200,000 within just 20 minutes of the presale.

Some tickets for the event at London’s Wembley Stadium are currently being sold for more than £6,000 per ticket. For those seeking hospitality, the cost can reach an impressive £10,578 for two individuals.

The band has expressed its disapproval, strongly criticizing the greedy ticket scalpers – stating that event organizers will void the tickets.

On X, they mentioned that some individuals have been trying to resell tickets on the secondary market ever since the beginning of the presale.

‘Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via Ticketmaster and Twickets.’

‘Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters.’

Here’s a simpler, more conversational rephrase: “This is essentially cash drained from fans, diverted from the British economy, and ending up in foreign online platforms.”

As a committed advocate for fair practices, I firmly believe that unjust ticket scalping can be effectively curbed through government intervention. In my opinion, the most viable course of action would be to enact legislation prohibiting the resale of tickets for financial gain.

Sham accounts also appear to be flogging fake passes, flogging them for as much as £800.

On Stubhub, tickets are currently being offered at over £6,300, whereas it seems that tickets on Viagogo are available for several thousand pounds.

Oasis is set to perform at five different venues across the UK: The National Stadium for five nights, Manchester’s Heaton Park on five separate dates, three shows at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield, a couple of gigs at Dublin’s Croke Park, and two concerts at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
