On the initial evening of the Oasis reunion tour on Friday, the cast members offered a heartfelt homage to Diogo Jota.
To start off the concert at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, the indie rock group from Liverpool served as the opening act, being the first to perform on stage.
As a connoisseur of all things lifestyle, I found myself moved to honor the memory of Liverpool’s shining star, Diogo. In a poignant gesture, John Power dedicated our song, Walkaway, to him – a tribute that speaks volumes about the profound impact this extraordinary athlete had on us all.
During a heartfelt instant, he expressed: ‘This is a parting gift dedicated to Diogo Jota. Relax, my friend.’
On Thursday, tragedy struck as both the Portuguese athlete and his brother Andre lost their lives when the sports car they were traveling in, a Lamborghini, experienced a tire explosion during an overtaking maneuver on the A-52 highway near Cernadilla, close to Zamora – approximately 10 miles beyond the Portuguese border.
