Oasis say “don’t miss out” as they mark milestone with special announcement
Oasis are marking a big milestone with a special new release that fans shouldn’t “miss out” on.
This year, the Britpop band preparing for a reunion tour has unveiled intentions to release a fresh, limited version of their collection album “Time Flies… 1994-2009″ in celebration of its 15th anniversary.
First unveiled in June 2010, approximately a year following their initial separation, the album features timeless hits like ‘Supersonic’, ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Live Forever’, ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’, and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’.
On the special occasion of Record Store Day, which falls on April 12th, a freshly minted 4-record collection is scheduled for release. This unique set comprises four vinyl discs in distinct colors, along with re-mastered sound quality.
Don’t let this pass you by – locate your nearby participating record store on recordstoreday.co.uk! That’s the hint from Oasis’ official social media account.
Apart from the recent anniversary they celebrated, the iconic band also commemorated another occasion in a unique way. They unveiled a 4K remastered version of their ‘Whatever’ music video on its 30th anniversary in December, and they plan to release a limited edition vinyl later this month.
Last year, Oasis unveiled plans for their comeback tour, which quickly sold out at an unprecedented pace. However, the event sparked debates regarding the ticketing platform Ticketmaster’s variable pricing system.
In response to criticism over ticket prices, the band explained through a statement: “We want to make it clear that decisions regarding ticketing and pricing for our events are handled by our promoters and managers. We were not aware that dynamic pricing would be employed in this instance.
Previously, discussions among promoters, Ticketmaster, and the band’s representatives led to an optimistic approach to ticket sales, ensuring a satisfactory experience for fans through strategies like dynamic ticketing to maintain affordable prices and minimize scalping. However, unfortunately, the implementation of this plan didn’t live up to our expectations.
Despite everyone’s best efforts to provide an exceptional fan experience, the extraordinary level of demand made it impossible for us to fulfill that goal.
