Oasis predict their own prophecy as they insist they are ‘the best band on the planet’ in resurfaced interview from the height of Definitely Maybe

Oasis predict their own prophecy as they insist they are 'the best band on the planet' in resurfaced interview from the height of Definitely Maybe

As a seasoned concert-goer with a knack for scoring tickets at unbelievable prices (or so I thought), I find myself both intrigued and disheartened by the news of the Oasis reunion tour. Having attended my fair share of music events, I’ve come to expect a certain level of affordability that seems to elude me this time around.

It appears that Oasis may have foreshadowed their future success, given that a previously unveiled video shows them boasting about being the “greatest band on Earth.”

Earlier this week, the Gallagher brothers unveiled their revolutionary tour, with enthusiasts gearing up to endure potential chaos once ticket sales commence this weekend.

Meanwhile, with everyone talking about Oasis, Liam was confident that this moment would eventually arrive, as he had made some daring forecasts about it back in the 1990s.

In 1994, Zoe Ball sat down with the band and inquired, “Given that you’re widely acclaimed as the top band currently, does all this praise hold truth?”

Without fully completing her query, Liam swiftly responded, “Absolutely. We are undeniably the top band around right now, not just on Earth, but across the entire planet.” (This version maintains the original meaning and flow while using more natural, conversational language.)

In a nutshell, although it seemed to the audience that the band appeared as an instant sensation, Noel clarified that they had actually been working together for a considerable time of around three and a half years, which he referred to as a ‘lengthy struggle.’

He added: ‘We’re just taking it in our stride because we deserve all the praise we are getting at the moment because we write the best songs.’

Nevertheless, Liam’s self-assurance extended beyond this point, as he elaborated on their daring strategies for the upcoming timeframe – strategies that, looking back, seem to be materializing.

The lead singer declared: “Our goal is simply to become the most renowned band worldwide, right now, just for this moment, and that’s all there is to it.”

Additionally, we aspire for all the perks that come along with it. To be frank, my dream is to become a renowned pop star, yet there are times when I feel overwhelmed by the attention and I yearn to respond with a nonchalant “mwuh” when people stare and exclaim, “Look at him, look at him.”

‘Know what I mean, but I want it and I’m not embarrassed about it. A lot of people get embarrassed about all this success that they get and they go “Oh I didn’t really want it.”

‘Of course you wanted it because that’s what you go out for, you do it, don’t matter whether you’re in a band or whatever.’

Back then, the band had a reputation for their outrageous behavior, yet when Zoe arrived at the hotel to interview them, she was surprised to find the room undamaged.

I was a little let down since I assumed her place would be a mess, but upon entering, I found you two sleeping and surprisingly, it’s quite clean.

‘Is this all a big lie, do you really trash hotel rooms?’ asked Zoe.

‘No,’ answered Liam before Noel confirmed: ‘Yes he does’ and Liam fights back: ‘No I don’t.’

This week, it was announced that Oasis will embark on a summer tour throughout the UK, expanding to include additional shows in significant cities such as Cardiff, Edinburgh, London, and of course their hometown of Manchester.

On Saturdays, regular tickets will be available; yet, sought-after Oasis tickets have been spotted on a reselling platform at an astonishing £1,700, even before the official ticket sales begin for the Gallagher brothers’ remarkable reunion concert series.

The Berlin-based ticket reselling platform, Ticombo, advertised that they had 189 tickets up for sale for the concert taking place at Heaton Park in Manchester on July 12.

The tickets ranged from £450 to £1,659, with the event taking place in an open field, yet it advertised various tiers for the ‘higher sections’ and comfortable seating arrangements.

According to the i newspaper, these items were being offered for sale, accompanied by a booking fee of £149. Following their contact with the website, the listings were taken down.

In a conversation with a newspaper, Ticombo stated, “Our users’ listings about the Oasis concert appear genuine.”

The site mentioned that they have asked the vendors for evidence about their origin and currently paused sales during this occasion. They will resume selling once the authorized sales start or a vendor presents the required evidence.

The tickets for this event are highly sought-after and come with an impressive price; standing at the Oasis reunion tour will set you back a substantial £151.

For those elderly fans finding it tough to stand for long periods, ticket prices for seats begin at £73, with the cost reaching a substantial £205.

Additionally, for those passionate Oasis fans with ample resources, a variety of opulent packages are offered, priced between £216 and £506. These packages encompass exclusive merchandise, an invitation to a pre-concert event, and access to a private Oasis exhibit.

Hey there! As a die-hard music enthusiast, let me tell you this: While the priciest standing tickets for Taylor Swift’s recent Wembley concerts set me back £172, I was utterly astonished to find out that the same spots for Adele’s Munich shows this month are going for a whopping £350! Talk about a difference in concert pricing!
