As I delve into this heartwarming tale, it stirs within me an overwhelming sense of admiration and joy that can only be compared to listening to Oasis’ iconic tunes at full volume on a sunny British afternoon. Milla Magee’s life story is a testament to the power of resilience, the strength of family bonds, and the enduring allure of Britpop culture.

A founding member of Oasis, who was part of the band during its initial years, expressed that they had always felt a reunion was ‘unavoidable’, regardless of the ongoing disagreements between Liam and Noel Gallagher.

Katrina Russell significantly influenced the band’s management during her time at Creation Records, contributing greatly to propelling Oasis to fame about three decades back.

She is friends with Meg Matthews, who was once married to Noel Gallagher, and has had relationships with both Robbie Williams and Steve Coogan. After living as a prominent socialite in the 90s, she now leads a more tranquil life in Cornwall.

Even with their breakup and heated arguments clearly visible from her vantage point, Ms. Russell was convinced all along that the band would reunite eventually.

During an interview with her hometown newspaper back in 2020, Ms. Russell expressed confidence that fans could look forward to a reunion, although it might not entail a global tour.

She mentioned to CornwallLive that the fans can expect a reunion at some point, as the bond between them runs deeper than friendship, they are more like brothers.

‘It doesn’t matter what the wives and the journalists say, what they went through together you can’t underestimate.

‘I don’t think it’ll be a world tour but you’ll get a big gig.’

At the age of 18, Ms. Russell resided in London, with DJ Paul Oakenfold being her partner. It was during this time that she crossed paths with Meg Matthews.

Currently, Ms. Matthews was organizing dance events, during which they first crossed paths. From that moment, they immediately connected well with each other.

Ms Russell mentioned that Meg and Noel Gallagher joined forces precisely when Oasis were starting to make progress.

Right from the start, it was clear that the band stood out; they promised an extraordinary performance.

I’ll never forget the place I was at when I first heard “Live Forever.” It made me pause and think, “This is what lies ahead.”

“I asked Meg to help me secure a position at the record label, and not long after, I went there and began working without pay.”

In simpler terms, Ms. Russell encountered Alan McGee, a renowned Scottish music producer, and the co-founder of Creation Records. At that time, McGee had recently signed bands like Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, and the Jesus and Mary Chain to his record label. Later on, he would also manage Oasis.

The pair instantly hit it off and Ms Russell was offered a job on reception.

Not long after that, she received several promotions in quick succession until she assumed the role of Mr. McGee’s Personal Assistant. She attributes this advancement mainly to her close friendship with Meg and Noel.

She added: ‘The reason I was able to get on so well at Creation was because I was so involved with Meg and Noel, always with them at their house, Supernova Heights.

You wouldn’t believe it, but the crowd there was something else! The festivities they had were extraordinary and outrageous. It was a truly incredible and unforgettable experience to be part of.

She partied with some of the biggest names in music such as U2 and Massive Attack.

Moreover, it was common to find renowned film actors like Ewan McGregor and Jonny Lee Miller attending the parties thrown by Noel Gallagher. These events were said to last several days.

Ms. Russell played an indispensable role in managing Creation Records, as her boss, Alan, was dealing with substance abuse issues at the time.

She asserts that her boss came dangerously close to death, requiring a stretcher to exit a plane, during the time their band achieved major success.

At one time, the ex-PA found herself acting as a mediator between her superior and the musical group, which she likened to them being “out of sorts” or “not functioning properly.”

By the release of Oasis’ second album, “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory,” the record label found themselves requiring not just one, but two large facilities: one to accommodate Oasis alone, and another for all their other artists.

Due to her tight bond with the Gallagher brothers, she was privy to their authentic brawls, a claim she verifies as true.

Regarding the well-known disputes between Liam and Noel during their peak popularity, Ms. Russell commented: ‘At times, you’d have to seek cover beneath the tables when things got heated, yet this was all part of their endearing appeal.’

Besides being recognized as Ms. Russell, she is affectionately known as the mother of Miss England Milla Magee, a 23-year-old woman. Interestingly, Milla’s godparents are Meg Matthews and Alan McGee.

In a more casual and straightforward manner, we could say: Ms. Magee’s closest companion is Anais Gallagher, the child of Noel and Meg, and she’s absolutely thrilled about the upcoming reunion.

The current Miss England shared that her mother has given her hope, suggesting that the band Oasis will reunite someday, despite a prolonged feud between its members spanning 15 years, which seems improbable at this point.

Ms. Magee, a lifeguard hailing from Newquay, expressed that her mother had a premonition about the event, it was simply a matter of when it would occur.

She was very assured about this matter, believing it was unavoidable. She’d often remark that “blood is thicker than water,” implying family ties are strong, and she expected them to eventually accept the idea.

‘My mum worked so hard, as did Meg, to make Oasis into what they were in the 90s.

At that point, they were undeniably formidable, much like my godfather Alan McGee was. It’s only right that such impressive figures should see this occur.

‘My mum is obviously delighted – as is the whole world is it seems. I can’t wait.

‘I love them to pieces and I think this is what the world needs right now.’

In May of this year, Milla Magee won the title of Miss England by showcasing a timeless dress from the ’90s wardrobe of Meg Matthews during her walk on the runway.

In the pulsating heart of London, where the beats of Britpop echoed and celebrities ruled, I found myself immersed amidst the glittering company of icons like Kate Moss, Ray Winstone, and Jason Statham. It was my very own coming-of-age in a world that thrived on star power and musical revolution.

Her dad Brenhan Magee also owns the bar where Made In Chelsea was filmed.

She added: ‘I cannot wait to go to one of the Oasis gigs, just to relive for two hours a tiny bit of what my mum and Meg would have lived in the 90s.

‘The energy and excitement of those times, it feels like it has come full circle.

It seems likely that an upcoming generation will have the opportunity to explore the essence of Brit pop culture and truly understand authentic music.

To be honest, until now, I had only listened to the tales my mom and Meg shared, but they were merely stories without any tangible reality. However, now I have the opportunity to truly live these experiences.

As a fervent supporter of the upcoming event, I’ve yet to discuss it with Anais, but I’m confident her joy will be boundless when she learns that it’s finally coming to fruition as well.

Given the current state of global division, I believe this could be a unifying force that helps reunite us all.

Ms Magee said she was bullied at school as a 14 stone teenager but has now had the last laugh.

She was crowned Miss England, becoming the first woman of larger size to win this title, as she outshone 39 other contestants in the beauty pageant.

In the past, she struggled with self-perception related to her physical appearance, but currently, she’s learned to accept and love her body, feeling comfortable and secure in it.
