Oasis is 'definitely maybe' reuniting after 15 years

As a seasoned rock ‘n’ roll critic who’s seen more bands come and go than I can count on both hands (and toes), I must say, the news of Oasis potentially reuniting after 15 long years has sent a wave of nostalgia coursing through my veins.

Backbeat, the word is on the street that Oasis is finally reuniting after 15 years.

Following a report by British newspaper The Sunday Times over the weekend suggesting a possible reunion of the band due to the reported reconciliation between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, it appears Liam Gallagher has fueled the speculation through his posts on social media.

In reaction to The Sunday Times article stating they’ve reconciled and will perform as Oasis again in London and Manchester during the summer of next year, Liam Gallagher posted on X, “I’ll catch you at the concert up front!”

According to sources within the music industry, as reported by The Sunday Times, the creators of “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger” are expected to perform several large concerts at Manchester’s Heaton Park and London’s Wembley Stadium.

On Sunday, there was no immediate response from the representatives of Oasis, Heaton Park, or Wembley Stadium regarding our request for a comment.

Following their separation in 2009, lead vocalist Liam Gallagher and rhythm guitarist Noel Gallagher embarked on individual projects, causing some devoted Oasis fans to question whether the brothers’ relationship could be mended and the band brought back to life again.

As a movie reviewer, I’ve been eagerly following the saga of Liam Gallagher and his former bandmate for over a decade and a half. But in a recent tweet, Liam sparked a flurry of reunion rumors by subtly hinting that he might not be entirely comfortable with their past label as “former bandmates.” Intriguingly, he expressed that the word “FORMER” was never something he particularly enjoyed, leaving fans and music enthusiasts alike to ponder what this could mean for the future of this iconic duo.

Rumors about their return began circulating a few days prior to the 30-year anniversary of Oasis’ first studio album, “Definitely Maybe.”

As a music enthusiast, I can’t help but mention my fondness for the iconic British rock band known for their timeless tunes. Their groundbreaking second album, “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”, is one I find myself returning to often, along with chart-toppers like “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” “Stop Crying Your Heart Out,” and “Champagne Supernova.” These tracks have a special place in my personal playlist.
