Oasis fan Anais Gallagher leads celebrations for her dad Noel’s reunion with his brother Liam as she shares rare photos of the band ahead of their comeback gigs
As a die-hard Oasis fan who’s lived through their highs and lows, I can hardly contain my excitement! The Gallagher brothers are back together, and it feels like 1995 all over again. I remember those nineties days when they ruled the Britpop scene, and their music was the soundtrack of our lives.
Thousands of Oasis fans, along with the children of the Gallagher brothers and several famous personalities, expressed their enthusiasm for the band’s return concerts on Tuesday morning.
Liam and Noel Gallagher have confirmed they’re getting back together for their legendary group, playing four massive concerts at Wembley Stadium this upcoming summer, followed by a UK-wide tour.
The exciting event begins on July 4, starting with consecutive evenings at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, followed by four performances in Manchester’s Heaton Park.
Next, the group plans to travel to Wembley Stadium in London, followed by a pair of evenings at Edinburgh’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium. The tour will conclude with a stop at Dublin’s Croke Park.
In a recent update on her Instagram, Noel Gallagher’s daughter, model Anais Gallagher (age 24), revealed some exciting news by posting vintage photographs of her father and uncle from the 90s. Her caption read: “Summer 2025.”
Additionally, she shared the band’s announcement video along with their message: ‘The guns are no longer firing. The planets have aligned. The long-awaited moment has arrived. Join us. This event will not be broadcast on television.’
This post indicates a warming of the relationship between Anais and her uncle Liam, following the Oasis frontman publicly doubting Anais’ paternity. Anais, being Noel’s daughter with Meg Matthews, was the subject of his doubt.
2000 saw an altercation that resulted in Noel striking his sibling, causing a cut lip, following which he left the band.
Starting at 8 am this coming Saturday, August 31st, you can purchase tickets for the return performances from Seetickets, Ticketmaster, and Gigsandtour.com. For those in Dublin, tickets will be available an hour ahead through Ticketmaster.
During Liam’s main performance at the Reading Festival on Sunday, he hinted at the famous Britpop group’s comeback. He and his elder brother, aged 57, later indicated that an official announcement would be released on Tuesday at 8:00 am. This followed a mysterious and matching post that appeared simultaneously across their social media platforms.
At the main event in Reading, Liam played several tracks off Oasis’s debut album Definitely Maybe to mark its 30th anniversary celebration.
Presenting “Half The World Away” – a 1994 B-side, which was also used as the theme for the popular sitcom The Royle Family. He shared with the crowd, “I’d like to dedicate this song to Noel, well and truly Gallagher.”
Liam carried on leaving fans puzzled as he dedicated his performance of “Cigarettes & Alcohol” at the Reading Festival to those who dislike Oasis.
Back in ’94, the last single off their groundbreaking debut, Definitely Maybe, was a masterpiece penned by my elder bro, and it’s still the one that has me hooked as an obsessed fan.
Oasis has been promised a payday of £50 million to reform and embark on a global tour.
15 years after their last joint performance, it’s reported that an impressive amount of money managed to bring estranged brothers Noel (age 57) and Liam back together, putting aside their differences.
In 2009, the tense connection between them peaked following a heated argument backstage in Paris, which resulted in Noel departing from the group.
Recently, Liam has been eager to reconcile with his brother and revitalize their famous Britpop group, but his elder sibling has dashed his hopes.
However, following his £20m divorce from Sara MacDonald last year, it’s reported that Noel Gallagher was convinced by the potential financial benefits to reunite the band for performances at Glastonbury and Wembley Stadium.
It’s anticipated to break records as the most attended tour in British music history. Insiders in the industry suggest that the contract negotiations between the brothers could earn them a staggering £50 million.
