Oasis Drop Controversial Song from Reunion Tour Setlist

It seems the band Oasis has allegedly removed a song from their upcoming reunion tour playlist because it was connected to the fallen pop star, Gary Glitter.

The well-known brothers Noel Gallagher (age 57) and Liam Gallagher (age 52) are reported to have removed the song “Hello” – the first track on their legendary 1995 album – as it incorporates lines from Gary’s 1973 hit “Hello, I’m Back Again.

In the closing part of the song, you’ll find Liam singing, “I’m back, I’m back, nice to be back, nice to be back,” a line that he repeats. Meanwhile, there’s a soft, underlying melody reminiscent of Gary’s original composition playing in the background.

Because the song sample included their work, the discredited celebrity and his collaborator Mike Leander were given co-writing credits on the track along with Noel, who wrote most of the other songs in the album.

According to a source, the lyrics of the song could’ve been ideal for their comeback tour, but the group chose to keep it as part of their past instead.

‘It would be inappropriate to play it given its connotations to Glitter and his convictions.’

TopMob has contacted representatives for Oasis for comment.

Known as Glitter, whose birth name is Paul Gadd, served a 16-year sentence in 2015 due to the act of sexually exploiting three underage girls who were students at school.

In 2023, he was freed but ended up back in prison only a few weeks afterwards due to violating the terms of his parole.

In the role of a lifestyle expert, I find myself sharing this news: As of February 2024, the individual in question accepted his fate of serving out his time in prison, as the Parole Board refused to grant him release on the grounds that he continues to pose a threat to society.

Previously reported: Instead of taking responsibility for his predicament, he tends to lay the blame on others.

They informed The Sun that Glitter appears deeply distressed and lamenting over his current circumstances, expressing sentiments such as “I will perish in prison.” He seems to have come to terms with this outcome.

By the time his prison term concludes, he will nearly be 87 years old, aware that confinement can significantly impact one’s health.

As an ardent fan, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment as the song’s disappearance coincides with a significant decision made during the Oasis tour by Noel and Liam – a move that subtly suggests their brotherly feud may not have been entirely put to rest yet.

Oasis sensationally split in 2009 after a backstage bust-up – devastating their loyal fan base.

Over the past 14 years, a fierce rivalry and continuous quarrels have arisen between the two brothers, often exchanging harsh words through interviews and on various social media platforms.

This year, they’re getting back together for a massive global tour. They’ve scheduled performances in various locations throughout the UK, America, South America, and Asia in 2025.

It seems their long-awaited reunion didn’t manage to resolve all their disagreements, based on recent observations.

A person with a ticket for one of the Heaton Park concerts stated that they plan to spend time apart after each performance.

They informed The Sun, “On the stage, you may witness Oasis performing, but don’t expect to find Liam and Noel together off-stage afterward.

‘Each of them had a VIP list where their friends and famous fans could buy their tickets.

However, the green room and after-party you’ve been invited to depends on which brother provided you with the ticket.

It’s disappointing for those hoping to socialize with both of them, as it appears they are maintaining some emotional or physical distance.

Regardless of their individual entities, the pair appear to collaborate effectively. In fact, Liam shared with his followers that he enjoyed teaming up with Noel once more.

And Noel feels the same, saying of his sibling: ‘He’s alright, he’s on tip-top form.’

TopMob has contacted Oasis’ representatives for comment.

The Oasis Live 25 tour begins on July 4th at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, followed by packed concerts at Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley Stadium in London, and Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.

The Brit pop band will then head over to America, South America and Asia in 2025.
