Oasis confirms 2025 reunion tour after 15-year split: 'This is it, this is happening'

As a seasoned cinephile who has witnessed the rise and fall of countless bands, I must say that the announcement of Oasis’ reunion tour is nothing short of a cinematic twist. The brothers Gallagher have managed to pull off a storyline more captivating than any blockbuster film I’ve seen in recent years. The feud, the reconciliation, and the grand return – it’s all too reminiscent of a classic underdog tale.

The Oasis band members have confirmed their reunion, ending a 15-year hiatus that had fans eagerly waiting for such news.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that brothers Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher plan to embark on a reunion tour next year, having already secured 14 concert dates.

This is it, this is happening,” said a post on Oasis’ social media touting Oasis Live ’25.

Here it is, the moment has arrived! Ticket sales kick off this coming Saturday, 31st August (Ireland: 8AM IST / UK: 9AM BST).

It seems the musicians behind “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” once embroiled in a contentious falling-out that caused their split in 2009, have put aside their differences. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ first studio album, “Definitely Maybe,” they are planning to reunite.

Next year, the revamped British rock group plans to perform 14 shows across the U.K. and Ireland, as shared by the band themselves. Notably, they have scheduled four performances in their hometown, Manchester, and another four at London’s Wembley Stadium. The tour will commence on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales.

“Silence has descended on the guns, the stars seem perfectly aligned, and the long-awaited moment has arrived. Witness it firsthand, as it won’t be broadcast. Moreover, the band announced that arrangements are in motion for Oasis Live ’25 to embark on a tour beyond Europe, starting later next year.”

Tickets for the U.K. shows will be up for grabs starting this coming Saturday, and you can purchase them from ticketmaster.co.uk, gigsandtours.com, or seetickets.com. For those in Dublin, tickets will also be available on the same day from ticketmaster.ie.

Over the weekend, Liam Gallagher seemed to fuel reunion speculations on social media by hinting at a possible Oasis comeback. In response to a post from The Sunday Times suggesting that the bandmates had resolved their differences and were planning to perform in London and Manchester next summer, he tweeted, “I’ll be there up front.”

The band Oasis made a big impact with their second album, “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”, which is famous for hits like “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” “Stop Crying Your Heart Out,” and “Champagne Supernova.” However, their backstage feuds were also quite notable.

2009 marked the year they parted ways in their professional journey, each embarking on individual projects. However, a significant number of their fans continued to harbor hope for a reunion and a revival of their act. Despite being frequently labeled as “former” bandmates at that time, Liam expressed his dislike for the term “FORMER” during a recent interview on X.
