Oasis confirm reunion tour after 15 years

As a gamer with a heart that beats for the rhythm of Britpop, this news about Oasis reuniting has sent me into a state of pure elation! I remember blasting “Wonderwall” on repeat during my late-night gaming sessions back in the ’90s, and now, three decades later, they’re getting back together!

Oasis are officially getting back together after 15 years.

It seems that Liam and Noel Gallagher, two brothers, have decided to set aside their disagreements, since the legendary Manchester group plans to perform at several concerts during the following summer.

The Britpop band has plans to perform in various locations throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland as part of OASIS LIVE 25. This includes multiple shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, and Dublin’s Croke Park. Additionally, they will embark on a tour outside Europe next year.

Tickets for both the UK and Ireland shows will be up for grabs starting this coming Saturday, August 31st at 9am (UK time) and 8am (Irish time) respectively. You’ll find them for sale right here on the day.

“The fighting has stopped. The planets have aligned perfectly. The long-awaited moment has arrived. Don’t miss it. This event won’t be broadcast on TV.”

It seems there wasn’t a sudden, profound realization or event that sparked the reunion, instead, it was more of a progressive understanding that the timing felt appropriate.

The band was among the most prominent Britpop acts of the 1990s, putting out iconic albums such as “Definitely Maybe” and “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”.

Thirty years after the release of “Definitely Maybe,” we are making the announcement for our reunion, and next year will mark the 30th anniversary since “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory” first came out.

In 2009, Oasis disbanded after Noel departed from the group before a concert in Paris. At that time, he stated in a declaration, “Regardless of what others may write or say, I could no longer endure working with Liam for another day.”

Since then, each brother has pursued individual thriving solo paths, yet whispers suggest a possible Oasis reunion might be imminent.

Over the weekend, both brothers shared lively posts on their social accounts hinting at the announcement date and time for today (August 27), which only added to the growing curiosity surrounding it.

Liam playfully hinted at the band’s reunion by sharing several posts on Twitter, such as one saying, “I’ve always disliked that term ‘former’.”
