Oasis ‘agree’ to huge USA reunion tour extension as fans who missed out on tickets have fresh hope after two more Wembley shows announced

Oasis 'agree' to huge USA reunion tour extension as fans who missed out on tickets have fresh hope after two more Wembley shows announced

As a seasoned concert-goer who has seen my fair share of ticket fiascos, I must say, the Oasis reunion tour debacle is a new low (or high, depending on how much you paid for those tickets). It’s reminiscent of that time I waited in line for hours to buy Coldplay tickets, only to find out they were sold out because Chris Martin had decided to have lunch instead.

Oasis have ‘verbally agreed’ to play stadiums in America as part of their epic reunion tour.

The announcement about ticket acquisition for the two upcoming Wembley shows has come only a few hours ago.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that Liam and Noel Gallagher are on the verge of sealing a mega-dollar agreement for their most extensive US shows yet! The motivation behind this expansion is not just musical passion but also a financial incentive that makes it an enticing opportunity they simply can’t resist.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: It appears that the promoters at Live Nation are eagerly pushing for a reunion tour by none other than Liam and Noel Gallagher. While there’s been talk about whether they can maintain harmony throughout the tour without any disagreements, the potential financial rewards seem to be a powerful motivator, keeping their musical journey on track.

According to the document, it’s stated that the band is expected to perform at the massive SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, along with numerous large-scale venues scattered throughout the U.S.

Billboards in New York’s Times Square appeared to tease US dates.

The digital communication displayed the Amazon Music emblem, an image of the Gallagher brothers, and the text: ‘Should we erect a billboard for them to visit the U.S., this is what it might look like.’

After Oasis has disclosed information about an opportunity for fans who failed to get tickets during the recent ticket fiasco to have another shot at attending their reunion concerts in Manchester.

Fans patiently waiting in line on Ticketmaster during the rush for tickets might get a special invitation to purchase tickets for the additional Wembley shows that were recently announced, according to the band’s rock outfit.

On their now-known-as X platform (previously Twitter), the band announced via a statement that those with registered Ticketmaster accounts, eagerly anticipating tickets for a particular event, might receive an email invitation to participate in a lottery as a follow-up.

Yet, gaining access to the ballot doesn’t mean fans will have an opportunity to purchase tickets. The band has cautioned that attendance at the box office will be highly restricted.

As a devoted fan, I’m advised to ensure that I register for voting using the email linked to my Ticketmaster account. This measure is put in place to avoid any latecomers who missed the initial queue from attempting to gain unauthorized entry.

Fervent supporters who are eagerly awaiting their chance don’t have to wait much longer, as invitations for the lottery will be dispatched tonight itself.

Overnight on Saturday, invitations for a private vote will be delivered to the fans we’ve identified as eligible.

If you logged into your Ticketmaster UK account last Saturday, 31st August, and managed to join a line for a particular event without securing a ticket, it’s possible that you qualify for participation. You should anticipate receiving an email with instructions on how to enroll in the ballot process soon.

1) Make sure to regularly check the email inbox linked to your Ticketmaster account, and remember to look through any junk or spam folders as well.

After completing your registration, you’ll have a chance to win a code that grants access to the on-sale Wembley final ticket lottery.

As a dedicated follower, I want to share some important changes regarding access to our upcoming shows. Given the high interest and to prevent the lengthy queues we experienced last week, the distribution of entry codes will be tightly managed. However, entering the ballot does not guarantee you’ll receive a code.

To participate, you need an invitation for the ballot. Make sure to register with the email address that received the invitation and is linked to your Ticketmaster account.

‘Only the first entry per person will be considered. If you don’t get an email confirmation, that means you won’t qualify for the drawing. You’ll be removed from the ballot automatically, regardless if you complete the registration process.’

Later on, Oasis added the term ‘UK’ along with a British flag emoji to their post, hinting that the offer is exclusive for supporters residing within the United Kingdom.

The invitations are being distributed for the additional concerts scheduled at Wembley Stadium on September 27 and 28 of the coming year, as a result of an extraordinary level of interest.

The band is making efforts to win back the affection of fans who felt let down because they couldn’t get tickets for the exclusive series of comeback shows that were announced on August 27.

A large number of enthusiasts aimed to grab a portion of around one million tickets offered for the tour’s 17 scheduled events, with concerts taking place in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Manchester as well as London, each hosting five shows throughout July and August.

However, the lines for certain performances exceeded half a million people, and soon after ticket sales commenced, scalpers started advertising tickets on secondary markets like Viagogo for up to 10,000 pounds.

A 79-year-old grandmother attempting to surprise her daughter with tickets accidentally purchased something entirely different on the reselling site Gigsberg, believing they were £90 underwear. However, it turned out that she had actually splurged £2,700 instead.

Elizabeth Buxton, a resident of Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire, shared with the BBC: “For quite some time, I’ve been a customer of Ticketmaster, and we’ve attended shows featuring artists like Adele – I’m no fool.

‘I clicked on the Gigsberg page and I ordered two tickets and gave my bank details.

The following morning, upon checking my phone, I discovered an upcoming withdrawal of approximately £2,700 from my bank account. I’m utterly baffled as to how this occurred. Truth be told, it’s left me feeling quite distressed.

Initially, Gigsberg informed the BBC that no refunds would be given. Later on, they reached out to Mrs. Buxton to assure her a complete refund was forthcoming.

Only Ticketmaster and Twickets have been authorized as the official ticket resale platforms for the Oasis reunion concerts.

In a move that angered many of their supporters, Oasis resorted to a controversial tactic similar to how Uber sets fares or hotels/airlines determine prices for last-minute items when high demand was detected: dynamic pricing, which essentially adjusts ticket costs based on supply and demand.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I find it disappointing to disclose that the supposed standing tickets for an event were being resold by the band’s management at inflated prices. Instead of the initially stated £150, these tickets were being peddled at exorbitant rates, reaching as high as £350.

The increase in prices was so substantial that it drew the disapproval of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who expressed his disappointment during PMQs this week, stating that the raised costs were “discouraging.

On social media, Liam Gallagher, the lead singer, shared his satisfaction and a sense of triumph over the Oasis reunion tour, even going as far as expressing a feeling of smugness, in response to fans who were disheartened about not being able to secure tickets.

This morning, he shared on X (previously known as Twitter): “OASIS is back! Welcome, and it seems ATTITUDE remains just as bad. That’s reassuring to know that some things never change.

When fans responded by criticising the ticketing approach, he replied: ‘SHUTUP [sic]’.

However, the band aimed to keep a safe distance from the debate over dynamic pricing, asserting that they left the decision of ticket sales methodology to their management and event organizers.

Regarding the frequent concerns buyers expressed about dynamic ticketing issues: It’s essential to clarify that the band, Oasis, has no control over the ticketing and pricing decisions. These matters are handled exclusively by their promoters and management. They were unaware that dynamic pricing would be implemented.

Large-scale artists like Taylor Swift have chosen not to participate in this method facilitated by Ticketmaster, whereas others, including Bruce Springsteen, have endorsed it – stating that it ensures funds go directly to the artists instead of ticket resellers.

In essence, the majority of our tickets are reasonably priced, as stated by the Boss during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, emphasizing that unscrupulous individuals often mark up ticket prices excessively.

‘Why shouldn’t that money go to the guys up there sweating three hours a night for it?’

As a die-hard fan, I’ve been keeping close tabs on this situation, and here’s what I’ve gathered: Ticketmaster claims they aren’t cashing in on dynamic pricing, but the UK’s consumer guardian dog, the Competition and Markets Authority, is digging deep to uncover if such practices are breaking the law.

No matter which row you’re in, there remains an abundance of goodwill from fans who’ve patiently waited 15 years, as they eagerly anticipate the long-awaited reunion of their beloved band.

This week, I couldn’t help but feel an uncontainable excitement as my beloved band’s debut album, Definitely Maybe, stormed its way to number one on the charts! With its legendary cover art, captured in none other than Bonehead’s living room, even featuring Liam sprawled out on the floor, it left Sabrina Carpenter trailing behind in second place. This victory is a testament to their undeniable talent and the unbreakable bond we share as fans!

In the past seven days, they achieved their first number one position in 14 years, accompanied by a significant surge of 408% compared to the previous week, according to the Official Charts Company.

In the UK singles chart, their song “Live Forever” reached a new high, landing at position eight, and for the first time in almost three decades, “Don’t Look Back in Anger” re-entered the top 40.

According to studies, the economic impact of the band’s reunion tour in Britain is projected to reach approximately £487 million. This is due to fans spending on various expenses such as travel, accommodation, souvenirs, and beverages to witness their beloved artists performing again.
