Oasis Adds Extra Shows to 2025 Tour Amid High Demand For Gallagher Brothers’ Reunion
As a cinephile who has witnessed the rise and fall of countless bands since the ’90s, I must admit that the news of Oasis’ reunion tour ignites a sense of nostalgia within me. The Gallagher brothers were undeniably one of the most captivating duos in rock history, their combustible chemistry on stage creating an energy that was simply electric.
London – Oasis has announced an expansion of their reunion tour across Britain and Ireland due to an extraordinary interest in tickets, adding three extra shows to the schedule.
The newly unveiled performances scheduled for Thursday will take place in Heaton Park, Manchester, England (the band’s hometown) on July 16, 2025; London’s Wembley Stadium on July 30; and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on August 12.
In the upcoming months, the iconic rock band from the Britpop era has planned 17 shows across Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Kick-starting this tour will be a performance at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4.
In the 1990s Britpop era, Oasis emerged as a major force, delivering popular songs like “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger.” Their distinctive sound was propelled by catchy rock choruses and the dynamic relationship between guitarist-composer Noel Gallagher and his brother Liam, who served as the band’s lead vocalist.
In 2009, Oasis disbanded following an altercation between Noel Gallagher and his brother backstage at a festival close to Paris, which ultimately led to Noel’s official departure from the band.
Despite not playing together since, both Liam and Noel Gallagher frequently include Oasis tunes in their individual concerts. Additionally, they’ve taken turns criticizing each other in media interviews.
On Tuesday, the band announced that at their reunion, fans could anticipate a captivating atmosphere, reminiscent of the unique energy that arises when they perform live as one unit.
The tour kicks off on both the 4th and 5th of July at the Principality Stadium. Additionally, Oasis will take the stage in Manchester from the 11th to the 12th, 16th, 19th, and 20th of July; London on the 25th, 26th, 30th of July, and Aug. 2nd and 3rd; Edinburgh on the 8th, 9th, and 12th of August; and Croke Park in Dublin on the 16th and 17th of August.
Tickets for sale start this coming Saturday at 8 a.m. (GMT) in Ireland and an hour later in the U.K. Additionally, fans had the opportunity to enter a presale raffle on Friday. The exact number of tickets that will be distributed via the raffle is yet to be determined.
The promoter, MCD, reveals that tickets for the Dublin concerts will be priced starting from €86.50 ($96), with an additional booking fee applied. As of now, ticket prices for the U.K. performances are yet to be disclosed.
