N’s Zekrom Leaked For Pokémon TCG: MEGA Dream ex Expansion

A recent leak has excited Pokémon Trading Card Game fans with the reveal of a popular feature. The new Japanese expansion, MEGA Dream ex, has been officially announced. One card in particular, from the Pokémon TCG: MEGA Dream ex set, is already generating a lot of buzz and is expected to be highly sought after when it’s released in Western countries.

A new Pokémon card has been revealed, as reported by PokéBeach. The card, featuring N’s Zekrom, will be included in the upcoming MEGA Dream ex expansion, which is currently being released in Japan. PokéBeach says this expansion is planned for a special release in Western countries in January 2026, but its official name hasn’t been announced yet.

N’s Zekrom Card Has Leaked For Pokémon TCG: MEGA Dream ex

The New Card Could Be Powerful

Even though the leaked image isn’t very clear, you can still see N with his Zekrom, likely an Illustration Rare (or Secret Rare in Japan) version of the card. The card shows Zekrom having 130 HP and two attacks. The first attack does 70 damage and costs 3 Colorless Energy. The second, more powerful attack does 350 damage and requires 1 Fire, 2 Lightning, and 1 Colorless Energy.

According to PokéBeach, this Pokémon card is one of several owned by a collector that will be included in the game, filling gaps from cards not featured in the Journey Together or Pokémon TCG: Destined Rival sets. N’s Zekrom appears to follow the release pattern of N’s Reshiram, which came out in the Journey Together set. PokéBeach also notes that N’s Zekrom will be available as both a standard card and a special Illustration Rare version, though the leak currently only shows the Illustration Rare.

I’ve been keeping an eye on N’s Zekrom, and I think it could become really powerful thanks to the Night Joker ability on N’s Zoroark from the Journey Together set. Basically, N’s Zoroark can borrow any move from a Pokémon on your Bench by paying just 2 Dark Energy. If N’s Zekrom uses a second attack that does a massive 350 damage, N’s Zoroark can pull it off surprisingly cheaply and knock out opponents fast in Pokémon TCG.

I’ve been checking out the comments online after that Zekrom leak, and it’s got a lot of people excited! Everyone’s hoping it means we’ll see more cards featuring Pokémon owned by Gym Leaders and other Trainers – specifically in the upcoming MEGA Dream ex set or future expansions. A lot of players are really wishing for a Misty’s Mega Gyarados ex card, which makes sense – she’s a super popular Trainer and hasn’t gotten an ex card yet!

With the recent launch of the Gen 9 game and the introduction of new Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, many fans are excited about the possibility of seeing Misty’s Mega Starmie ex in the trading card game, even though this pairing hasn’t been officially featured before. There’s also anticipation for wider releases of cards like Hop’s Pincurchin ex and Team Rocket’s Kangaskhan ex. While these details come from leaks and should be viewed cautiously, excitement for the future of the Pokémon TCG is definitely building.
