NRLW footy star Indie Bostock claps back after being roasted online over her wild cut-out Dally M Awards frock

Indie Bostock has responded to online critics who negatively commented on her outfit at the 2025 Dally M Awards last week. She defended her choices against those who disapproved.

The talented NRLW player faced criticism online for her dress, which had a revealing cutout showing a significant amount of skin.

This weekend, the 18-year-old posted a video on TikTok featuring herself and her boyfriend, Tevita Naufahu, a star player for the Dolphins. The video shows them posing inside a convenience store, and she’s wearing the dress everyone has been talking about.

Oh my gosh, she *totally* shut down the haters! I was reading her caption, and she wrote, ‘This is for the papis who are appalled by my dress.‘ Like, YES QUEEN! I’m obsessed with how she doesn’t let anyone bring her down. It’s so amazing! I’ve been following her forever, and this just proves she’s the best. Seriously, the confidence!

Her fans were delighted with her nonchalant attitude towards the furore.

‘Girl you look stunning,’ wrote one person in the comments underneath the TikTok video.

If someone criticizes your dress, it’s just envy talking. You completely slayed that look,” another person commented.

‘You look amazing, it’s clear others are envious!’ one person exclaimed, and another added, ‘If I had your looks, I’d wear that dress constantly.’

The attractive blonde athlete, who plays for the Dragons, clearly wanted to stand out when she arrived at the Dally M Awards with her boyfriend, Tevita.

Indie confidently showed some skin in a dark brown dress with an interesting opening at the waist.

Indie’s unusual fashion choice also boasted a sheer skirt that showed off her toned pins.

Indie seemed pleased to be out with her partner wearing such striking clothes, but the reaction online was quite different.

A video of the couple’s arrival at the event – located at the Winx Room in Randwick Racecourse – sparked a lot of conversation, though not all of it was complimentary.

The video, posted by the official NRL and NRLW accounts, included the caption: ‘@indiebostockkkk looking glamorous,’ along with a ❤️ emoji.

However, some fans disagreed, taking to the comments to slam Indie’s awards attire.

‘What part of this is glamorous?’ one fan asked.

I couldn’t help but overhear people saying that Indie’s outfit seemed more appropriate for a nightclub than for walking the green carpet at the Dally Ms. It just didn’t quite fit the event, you know? Some thought it was a bit too much for such a formal occasion. Honestly, I think they had a point – it was a bold look, but maybe not the right setting. It definitely sparked conversation, though!

‘Sis hitting the club straight after in this very outfit,’ one fan suggested.

Someone else agreed, writing: ‘I don’t know, it’s giving clubs 😢.’

Another was less charitable in their assessment, slamming Indie’s getup as decidedly unglamorous.

‘Get a bit tired of the word “glamorous” when they look ridiculous,’ another person commented.
