Nightclub to nappies

The woman involved in the sex-tape scandal with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow is now expecting a child and preparing to become a mother.

Sources confirm the woman involved in the scandal with a Dolphins fullback – which ended his relationship with NRLW player Jaime Chapman – is now several months pregnant.

If you didn’t hear about this before, back in July I reported that an explicit video was circulating.

A video surfaced showing the 24-year-old rugby league player, nicknamed ‘The Hammer,’ engaging in consensual sexual activity with a woman he met at Su Casa nightclub in Brisbane. He then brought her back to his home in Redcliffe.

Okay, so State of Origin was finally over, and I immediately booked a trip up to Redcliffe – Dolphins territory, you know? I had to find out what everyone was thinking, from the die-hard fans to the sponsors, and honestly, even some people who were probably pretty upset about… well, everything. My big question? Why on earth did they even make the documentary? I needed answers!

I met Tabuai-Fidow outside his house right after he finished a tough, five-hour practice at Kayo Stadium.

I was surprised he didn’t immediately get angry with me. He was actually quite polite, at least until I mentioned the specific issue, and that’s when he completely shut down emotionally.

He reacted to the video with a slight smile and a nod, neither confirming nor denying anything, and chose not to speak further. It wasn’t necessary, though. The tattoos shown in the footage – particularly a unique crowned bear on his right thigh – revealed everything.

People familiar with the situation said the video was filmed on June 7th while Chapman was traveling with the Titans for women’s rugby league. Neither Chapman nor her partner has ever discussed the video publicly, but those who know the details believe it led to the end of their relationship.

And now for the plot twist.

Half a year later, the woman from the video is expecting a baby. It’s not with the muscular man from the video, but with another fit, gym-going partner. It seems she’s attracted to that type of physique.

Honestly, the best part of all this with Tabua-Fidow? It has to be when Trad McLean, the Dolphins’ media guy, called me – he was so hyped, and it was just…amazing. I was completely losing it, and he was right there with me, basically! It was a perfect moment.

Oh my gosh, I totally messed up and kept calling Trad “Trent” the whole time we talked, and he was SO upset! He basically ripped me a new one about how awful and rude it was of me to just show up at his door like that. It was a total dressing-down, but honestly, even getting yelled at by him is… something, you know?

I gently pointed out that he should probably be upset with players acting badly on camera, not with journalists simply reporting the news – but, as expected, he didn’t appreciate my suggestion.

Mile-high faux pas

Charity maven Vanessa Jacobs Fennell is lighting up WhatsApp group chats across Sydney once again.

Recent buzz started when Ms. Jacobs Fennell quietly took a picture of Sir Anthony Hopkins while he was flying from London to Switzerland. The 87-year-old actor, known for his role as Hannibal Lecter, was simply trying to enjoy his meal on the plane.

She finished the post with a subtle boast, writing, ‘Two Oscar winners heading to Switzerland. Front row,’ and then directly tagged the actor.

The screenshot spread rapidly, reaching people from Bellevue Hill to Bondi within minutes. Even her supporters couldn’t help but feel embarrassed by it.

Ms. Jacobs Fennell, previously married to a private equity banker named Tom Fennell, is well-known in social circles and frequently attends charity events. She’s often the subject of public attention and rumors.

She made news last year after crashing her Range Rover into a number of parked cars in Bellevue Hill.

Let me tell you, things took a turn for one of my clients recently. After a minor car accident, some helpful people nearby got her out of the vehicle. Unfortunately, when police arrived, she declined to take a breathalyzer test. This resulted in a six-month driving ban, but thankfully that’s now behind her and she’s back on the road.

In November, she told the Daily Mail she was keen to move on from the saga.

Honestly, hearing her say that just broke my heart. It was like, she was so done with all the negativity, and I totally get it! She kept saying how lucky she is to have amazing friends and how important her family is, and she just needed to focus on getting strong for her kids. It was like she was finally putting them first, and it was so powerful to hear. I’m just so glad she’s prioritizing her well-being and rebuilding her life – she deserves all the happiness in the world!

Sources say she recently ended a short relationship with Melbourne businessman Nathan Sable and was very upset by the breakup, which happened just before the crash.

Model meets retail royalty

A member of a wealthy Sydney family marrying a model from the eastern suburbs – it’s a classic, familiar story in the city.

But this time, the script has flipped: the usual gender roles are reversed.

Jordan Stenmark, one half of the famous Stenmark twins who were popular models in the 2010s, is engaged to Jasmine Lee, who comes from a family that owns an appliance company.

They managed to get engaged in complete secrecy, avoiding the typical social media announcements. I only found out about the private proposal when someone sent me a revealing screenshot of them together.

Jasmine represents the $680 million Bing Lee company, a major electronics retailer. She’s also the great-granddaughter of the founder who originally established the well-known brand.

Jordan and Jasmine live in Bondi Beach, likely in the Pacific apartment building with its famous views. I often see them at my favorite coffee shop, The Depot.

Jasmine recently took over the family business from her grandmother, Yenda Lee. She’s continuing the legacy of dedication – and the famously catchy commercials!

Before starting this new phase of his life, Jordan had been with Asha Dillon for a long time. Asha is a graduate of Kambala and previously worked as a nutritionist, but now she sells dog food.

Throughout the mid to late 2010s, the couple were regulars at Sydney social events, frequently appearing together in photos online and in magazine features.

Alongside twin brother Zac, Jordan shot to fame as one half of The Stenmarks.

This popular pair, now with over 157,000 TikTok followers and 315,000 on Instagram, first gained attention in 2011 while working at a café in Western Sydney. They were signed by Vivien’s Models at just 19 years old, and quickly became successful models.

Lawsie’s last gatekeeper

Even after his passing, legendary singer John Laws is still cared for by the woman who managed his life behind the scenes for thirty years.

Johnny Laws named his longtime assistant, Jodee Borgo, as one of the people in charge of handling his estate. This was a heartfelt acknowledgment of her dedication, as she had expertly managed nearly every aspect of his life.

Anyone familiar with Laws’ work will say Borgo was much more than just a personal assistant. She worked alongside him for three decades, handling not only his schedule but also his social life, offering trusted advice, and fiercely protecting his time.

To reach Lawsie, you had to go through Jodee, and she rarely let anyone pass without a valid reason.

When Laws retired last year, he gave her a public thank you on the radio, recognizing her support throughout his broadcasting career which started way back in 1953.

Even after leaving the air last year, Borgo continues to manage Laws’s business and personal matters, just as she always has.

And finally… guess who, don’t sue!

A TV news executive is facing criticism after unexpectedly leaving their newsroom during a significant breaking news story in their local area.

Employees had their vacations interrupted to help with a major story that dominated recent news, but their well-compensated manager was absent.

The situation looks really bad. It reminds people of the criticism Christine Nixon faced when she was seen at a hair salon while the Black Saturday bushfires were raging.

Let’s just hope the mystery executive enjoyed their relaxing week off…
