The 2013 heist film Now You See Me is currently the most popular movie on Starz in the U.S., according to data from FlixPatrol.
The films Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 star Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco as a team of illusionists known as the Four Horsemen. They commit daring bank robberies during their performances and give the stolen money to their audience. Both movies have recently been popular choices for streaming, and were popular before that as well.
Despite mixed reviews that called it more flash than substance, the movie Now You See Me was a financial success. It earned $342 million worldwide on a $75 million budget. While it only received a 51% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, classifying it as ‘rotten,’ the film’s blend of magic tricks and elaborate heists clearly appealed to audiences.
The first film did so well in theaters that Now You See Me 2 was released three years later. The series then paused for nearly ten years before returning just this past weekend.
