Nova radio host Tim Blackwell and his girlfriend Lizzie Baxter are still going strong.
Okay, so I was just checking Instagram and noticed Tim and Lizzie are celebrating two years together! How sweet is that? Tim, who’s 42, posted the loveliest message to Lizzie – it’s so nice to see couples sharing their joy online. It really makes my day!
He posted a picture of himself with Lizzie, a 28-year-old producer for the Nova radio show Fitzy & Wippa, at a country-themed party. Lizzie is 15 years his junior.
‘Two years of ho-downs with my girl,’ he simply captioned the image.
I’ve been following Tim and his new partner closely, and it seems like they became a couple after his split from Monique last year. It’s lovely to see him finding happiness again after his marriage ended in 2023.
They made their red carpet debut at the 2024 ARIA Awards in November last year.
Tim, the host of the yearly music awards, confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that he is dating Lizzie, referring to her as his ‘date’ for the event.
The pair looked smitten as they embraced and posed for photos at the media wall.
The couple made their first public appearance together on the red carpet only a day after Daily Mail Australia reported they were dating, following a romantic outing in Coogee.
The couple went to a small, private concert by rapper The Kid Laroi at the Coogee Bay Hotel, and were joined by friends from Nova.
The lovebirds are believed to have started dating after Tim’s marriage broke down.
Tim playfully revealed on social media that he’d be hosting the awards show, and Lizzie responded by asking if she could join him as his date.
‘Do you need a date by any chance? You’re hot,’ she wrote.
Blackwell said she’d be busy working, questioning if taking on something else would be unprofessional. She then paused, saying she’d need to consider the request.
She teased in reply: ‘Hasn’t stopped you in the past.’
According to a source at Daily Mail Australia, Lizzie and her partner have been playfully interacting online for several months. Photos showing them together were once publicly available on Lizzie’s Instagram, but she has since made the account private.
Someone else familiar with the situation said their relationship is common knowledge within the industry – it’s not hidden at all.
Last month, Lizzie playfully acknowledged Father’s Day on Instagram with a heartwarming post dedicated to Tim and his children.
Lizzie wished her dad a Happy Father’s Day, jokingly adding that she could easily pass for his daughter!
Lizzie creates content for the Fitzy and Wippa show. She works in the Sydney office with Tim, who co-hosts the national drive show with Ricki-Lee Coulter and Joel Creasey.
Tim and Lizzie began dating about a year after Tim’s wife, Monique, announced their separation.
Monique, an entrepreneur and yoga instructor, broke the news via Instagram on December 10.
She marked the end of their relationship with a collection of happy photos, writing, ‘Some good things really do last, but this wasn’t one of them.’
