Nova radio host Tim Blackwell, 43, slammed for loved-up holiday snaps with much younger girlfriend, 28, following split from wife Monique: ‘Show some respect’
Fans have criticized Tim Blackwell following the publication of several affectionate pictures featuring his newly revealed partner, Lizzie Baxter.
As a devoted fan, I’m sharing the update that the renowned figure, aged 43, publicly stepped into a new romantic chapter with Lizzie, who is 28 years old. This blossoming relationship was unveiled in November, approximately one year following his separation from Monique, his wife of over 14 years.
On Wednesday, Tim posted a collection of pictures on Instagram, capturing moments from his enchanting Thai getaway with his latest sweetheart.
The duo didn’t shy away from public displays of affection (PDA), as evidenced by a picture where Lizzie, in a bikini, was seated on Tim’s lap while they enjoyed cocktails, their arms wrapped around one another.
Another showed Tim hamming it up for the camera as he and Lizzie enjoyed an intimate dinner date.
A third showed the couple sitting poolside as Tim casually threw his arm around Lizzie’s shoulders.
In the photo, they were grinning widely, undeniably delighted to be spending time together during their peaceful vacation retreat.
Although some people appreciated the pictures, others criticized the radio host for what they perceived as insensitivity towards his former spouse, as many fans expressed their disapproval.
‘How’s Mon?’ one follower asked, before adding: ‘Show some respect.’
‘Too much show some respect to Monique,’ echoed another.
‘Geez, I hope your kids don’t follow your Insta,’ chastised a third.
It wasn’t all negativity however, with many jumping in to defend Tim and Lizzie’s relationship.
‘They split up more than a year ago,’ came one reply. ‘How long should he wait?’
Another offered: ‘Wow! Some people are not happy…..your life to live.’
At the 2024 ARIA Awards in November, Tim and Lizzie publicly appeared together for the first time on the red carpet as a romantic pair, frequently showing affection by holding hands throughout the event.
Tim, the yearly music awards’ emcee, openly declared to Daily Mail Australia that Lizzie accompanied him as his partner for the event.
The lovebirds are believed to have started dating after Tim’s marriage broke down.
In a playful conversation on social media, Tim revealed he’d be hosting the award ceremony, and Lizzie inquired jokingly if she might accompany him as his date for the event.
‘Do you need a date by any chance? You’re hot,’ she wrote.
Blackwell replied first, “I’m busy right now, isn’t it inappropriate?” Then he said, “Let me ponder on it…
She teased in reply: ‘Hasn’t stopped you in the past.’
In the very same Sydney office where Tim is stationed, Lizzie plays her role as a content producer. Tim is part of the popular national drive show, which also includes Ricki-Lee Coulter and humorous personality, Joel Creasey.
Tim and Lizzie’s relationship blossomed nearly a year following the confirmation that he was no longer with his former spouse, Monique, who had announced their separation.
The former couple share three children, Bo, 11, Alfie, eight, and Artie, five.
Monique, an entrepreneur and yoga instructor, broke the news via Instagram on December 10.
She labeled a collection of old pictures featuring her and Tim, ‘Though not all good things must come to an end, this one did.’

For about a week, Tim refrained from posting anything on Instagram following his wife’s revelation. It wasn’t until September that he chose to publicly acknowledge their marital separation indirectly.

In a heartfelt confession, Tim acknowledged that he experienced profound feelings of failing as a parent when his marriage to Monique dissolved; however, he emphasized that their tale was far from complete.
In terms of our role as co-parents, our connection is ongoing, albeit in a new form. It seems like we’re putting more effort into rebuilding the relationship that has changed or evolved.
Tim and Monique first met in 2002 after he moved to Perth to launch Nova 93.7’s drive show.
