All episodes will be available on iPlayer starting Tuesday, so the two-day wait only matters if you’re watching on regular TV.

I was totally hooked by this movie! It centers around a woman named Mia who’s really hit a rough patch – her career is falling apart and she’s battling addiction. She decides to go to New Zealand for her sister’s wedding, hoping for a fresh start, but then she arrives to find out her sister has tragically passed away. It’s a really intense setup!
The story centers around a mystery, with everyone Mia meets harboring hidden secrets. It also hints at a romantic connection between Mia and her sister’s fiancé, Ewan.
Will she be able to root out the truth, while resisting the temptation?

Lyle had previously called the show, filmed in both New Zealand and Scotland, unusual and gothic.
She described her character, Mia, as captivating and the game’s world as strangely appealing. She added that the story feels like something terrible is about to happen, but in an exciting and enjoyable way.
Jay Ryan, who stars alongside her, said the show does a fantastic job of blending cultures and traditional stories into a thrilling and suspenseful series. He described it as a bold and imaginative production with unpredictable characters that will keep viewers engaged.
Gavin Smith, a commissioning editor at BBC Scotland, described the show as a demonstration of their goal to create high-quality drama with international appeal, not just for Scottish viewers, but for audiences worldwide. He expressed pride in the show’s talented international team.
The Ridge will be available to stream on iPlayer and will premiere on BBC Scotland on Tuesday, October 21st. Viewers in the rest of the UK can watch the premiere on BBC Two on October 23rd.
