Not sure what game to play? Leave a comment, we’ll help

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt and a career that’s taken me through the trenches of countless gaming titles, I can confidently say that there’s no challenge too great, no genre too obscure, and no game too complex for me to tackle. From the adrenaline-pumping thrills of competitive shooters to the peaceful serenity of cozy life simulators, I’ve dabbled in it all!

At TopMob, one fantastic aspect of our work is suggesting a diverse range of engaging and innovative games, including indie games, cozy games, board games, or the best of the year. Our day-to-day involves playing an extensive variety of games, which is not just a job requirement but also a fun perk! This allows us to stay informed about the latest trends and updates in the gaming world. While lists are handy for recommending multiple games at once, we also enjoy providing personalized recommendations based on individual preferences.

Hey fellow gamers! I’m here to assist you in your gaming journey. Whether you’re killing time in line or seeking a co-op experience without a console, I’ve got some great recommendations up my sleeve. And if you’re on the hunt for an epic fantasy game that will keep you hooked for days (or even weeks!), I’ve got just the right suggestions to tickle your gaming fancy. So, don’t be shy – fire away with your questions!

Between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), I’ll be available in the comments section below to address your queries and suggestions for games to play. Feel free to join the conversation with your own recommendations, or just chat about what you’re currently playing.

What range of skills should you anticipate from me? Quite broad, given that throughout my life and career, I’ve endeavored to dabble in multiple areas and delve into every genre without omission. Starting out, I honed my skills on fighting games and competitive shooters, primarily drawn to the thrill of competition. However, during college, I recognized the vast array of video game experiences available and the growing diversity within the gaming scene, particularly with the emergence of indie games in the 2000s. Since graduating college, I’ve been employed as a games journalist (and now an editor), immersing myself in as many different types of games as my time and resources permit.

Currently, following the release of Shadow of the Erdtree in Elden Ring, I’ve been extending my gameplay time (I’ve clocked over 300 hours). My fascination with FromSoftware games began when I realized their resemblance to my long-cherished series — Metroid — due to their emphasis on exploration and backtracking in perilous yet stunning landscapes. Despite my passion for fighting games and shooters, I also have a profound affection for strategy games. This ranges from the competitive real-time battles in Starcraft 2 to the individual turn-based challenges presented by Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Lastly, I always ensure to include relaxing games like Stardew Valley and House Flipper 2 in my gaming routine.

It’s your turn now! What game would you prefer to play this weekend? Share your preference in the comments, and I’ll try to accommodate it between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. EDT. If possible, please provide some details about your taste, the consoles you own, or what specifically attracts you to the game if there’s something particular. I’ll respond to the comments with suggestions, and if I can’t think of a good one, I’ll consult the team.
