Noel Gallagher’s daughter “didn’t have a clue” about Oasis reunion
As a seasoned gamer who’s lived through the golden age of Britpop, I can’t help but feel a tinge of nostalgia hearing about Oasis’ reunion. I remember the days when “Wonderwall” was the anthem of my youth, and the Gallagher brothers were the epitome of cool.
It’s said that Anaïs Gallagher, Noel Gallagher’s daughter, didn’t know about her father’s plans for an Oasis reunion.
In August, it became known that the legendary Britpop group plans to reassemble for a live tour during the summer of 2025, which will be their first shows since disbanding in 2009.
There were whispers suggesting that a Manchester-based band might get back together, but during an interview on Radio X, lead singer of Blossoms, Tom Ogden, disclosed that Anais was totally in the dark about her father’s and uncle’s reunion plans.
Apparently, Anaïs, Noel’s daughter, was at my house with Katie [his wife] when those fresh stories emerged,” Ogden reminisced (as reported by The Mirror). “She had absolutely no idea about it. She was reaching out to people she knew to confirm if the rumors were true. However, she didn’t receive any confirmation.
The following day, as we were set to perform at Wythenshawe and Anaïs was planning to watch us, she remained unaware of the surprise. A few hours before we took the stage, our management phoned me with this message: “We must display a video clip after your performance. I can’t reveal what it is. But it’s very thrilling.
At that stage, we started connecting the dots. The announcement was made, and it led to what followed. Oasis had returned. Everywhere’s shows were all booked out. There was chaos over tickets, he said further. He mentioned he would contact Anaïs for tickets to the sold-out tour.
The upcoming tour, titled ‘Oasis Live ‘25’ will kick off in Cardiff on July 4 before moving to Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin. The band will then travel to the US and Mexico before gigs in Asia, Australia and South America, with the final performance – at least so far – scheduled for Brazil on November 23.
