Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anais ‘didn’t have a clue’ about the Oasis reunion and was ‘texting people to find out if it was true’
As a longtime admirer of the Gallagher brothers and their iconic band, Oasis, I must say this recent news about their reunion tour has me positively giddy with excitement! Having grown up listening to their anthemic tunes that perfectly captured the spirit of my generation, it’s heartening to see these two talented musicians back together after all these years.
According to reports, Anais Gallagher, Noel Gallagher’s daughter, was in the dark about the Oasis reunion and had been texting various individuals to verify if the news was indeed accurate.
Singer Tom Ogden of the band Blossoms disclosed that a model, aged 24, learned about the unexpected reunion of her father Noel, aged 57, and uncle Liam, aged 52, for a grand world tour slated in 2025.
Lead vocalist, Tom, shared a stunning disclosure during his exclusive chat on Radio X’s special program ‘The A to X of 2024 with Blossoms’. He clarified that he learned about it on August 27, just as the rest of the global population did.
Tom revealed, “It turns out that Anaïs, Noel’s daughter, was visiting Katie and me when those recent news stories emerged.
Option A: She had absolutely no idea about it. She reached out to folks she recognized, seeking confirmation. However, she received no response.
Tom explained he first caught a hint something big was about to happen, when he was informed an Oasis promo clip would be played after their concert at Wythenshawe Park over August Bank Holiday Weekend.
As a lifestyle connoisseur reminiscing about an event, let me share a fascinating tale. The following day, while we engaged in our usual game at Wythenshawe, Anais was due to arrive and spectate. However, even up until that point, she remained unaware of the details.
A few hours prior to our performance, I received a phone call from our management with an intriguing message: “Following your act, we’ll need to play a surprise video. I can’t reveal the details yet, but it promises to be thrilling!
At that point, we started connecting the dots, realizing that the hint had been given and what followed became a known event – Oasis was returning to the scene. Nowhere is left with tickets as the demand is overwhelmingly high, causing quite a chaos in the ticket market.
The Charlemagne singer admitted he hopes to bag a ticket for the legendary upcoming tour for him and his bandmates, adding: ‘We will be sure to be tapping Anaïs up. Thank you mate.’
Since their band disbanded in 2009, Liam and Noel Gallagher have been embroiled in a well-known dispute. Back then, Noel expressed his feelings by stating, “I just couldn’t bear to work with Liam for another day.
Yet, by August, Liam and Noel made up, and they declared that Oasis would reunite for a series of stadium shows in the year 2025.
After Noel shared details about his mother’s response to the Oasis reunion tour and the conclusion of their sibling rivalry.
When questioned about his mother Peggy’s response, Noel shared with reporters, “When we informed her that we were reuniting, she replied, ‘Oh, that sounds pleasant.’
‘My mum couldn’t give a s***. My mum never gave a s***, never.’
At the National Portrait Gallery’s Zoe Law Legend exhibition, where various British icons like Noel were honored, including football legend Sir Bobby Charlton and Lady Phyll, founder of UK Black Pride, Noel disclosed his mother’s recent discovery.
Nevertheless, Alan McGee, the one who first signed Oasis with Creation Records back in 1993, believes that Peggy might be the driving force behind their reunion.
In the conversation with Virgin Radio, Alan expressed his conviction that Peggy is involved in everything, adding that she’s doing exceptionally well and excelling at what she does.
Eagerly, Noel and Liam want to take Peggy, who is 81, to one of the Dublin shows, giving her an opportunity to witness her sons performing together on stage once more.
During an interview with The Sun, Noel clarified that this tour won’t have the same level of rowdy energy as in their younger days because they are now past fifty. Instead, he described it as more of a ceremonious lap around the track to honor the band.
Liam has recently confirmed that Paul Arthur, famously known as Bonehead and a co-founder of Oasis, will be part of the band’s lineup for their eagerly awaited reunion tour.
Responding to a concerned fan’s comment on Twitter, the artist shared some news regarding the band’s upcoming performances.
In simpler terms, they’re saying that it took 142 days for someone to complete 41 ‘gigabytes’ (shortened as ‘gigs’). This means approximately one ‘gig’ was completed every 3.5 days, and they hope Liam is performing exceptionally well during this period.
In response to the comment, Liam playfully suggested that if he doesn’t have to stay up all night giving Bonehead fig cookies to eat, he should be just peachy.
“As long as I’m not staying up late eating snacks and stuffing cookies into someone’s hairy throat until very late at night, I’ll be alright; from then on, the days will pass easily.
Upon noticing the reference to Bonehead, a fellow enthusiast inquired: ‘Will it for sure be Bonehead who will attend?’
As Liam then confirmed: ‘Bonehead’s defo in the area.’
Previously, it has been suggested by experts within the industry that Bonehead is indeed part of the tour and is thrilled about the band getting back together. It seems both Liam and Noel are keen to have him involved, as he reportedly played a significant role in bringing the group back together.
A source close to the situation shared with The Sun that the Oasis clan has reconnected strongly. Bonehead is overjoyed, and even Noel has invited some of his band members into the mix.
A source within the music industry attributes the resolution of the brothers’ dispute to Bonehead, who successfully battled tonsil cancer in 2023.
Bonehead, originally a part of the Britpop group, has managed to maintain friendships with both Noel and Liam throughout the years.
A source close to the negotiations shared with The Mirror that Bonehead, who is not only a friend but also an acquaintance of theirs, has been making efforts to strengthen this relationship lately. Fortunately, these endeavors have proven successful.
In 1999, Arthur departed from Oasis while they were working on their fourth album, titled “Standing on the Shoulder of Giants.” An announcement was made, stating that he wished to devote more attention to his loved ones at home.
He has performed with Liam in recent years.
