Noel Gallagher’s close pal Jo Whiley says she ‘wouldn’t be surprised’ if Oasis have written new music ahead of reunion tour
According to Noel Gallagher’s friend, Jo Whiley, it wouldn’t shock her if he had penned some new tunes for an Oasis reunion concert.
The Gallagher siblings are preparing for their eagerly awaited joint concert tour, starting with their initial performance in Cardiff this coming Friday.
Fans might be in for a surprise, as Radio 2 DJ Jo has suggested, implying that perhaps Noel has composed fresh tunes for the upcoming tour.
In a conversation with herself, Jo expressed her belief that Noel is highly driven and consistently dedicated to creating fresh tunes.
She expressed that it wouldn’t shock her if they had composed something, given that Noel has penned something fresh. In her opinion, his ambition makes her believe he would strive to showcase his abilities.
‘He really wants to be respected. I’d love them to do new material that was really good.’

Discussing the recent tunes by Pulp, Blur, and Suede, Jo brought up the point that several contemporaries of Oasis are making a comeback in the music industry.
She added that neither Noel nor Liam should be considered old men, as they are both passionate artists with a strong creative drive.
On this coming Friday, brothers Noel and Liam are set to perform together for the first time in fifteen years at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
The renowned Britpop group is scheduled to give stadium concerts throughout the UK, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, as well as North, Central, and South America. Their tour will culminate with a performance at São Paulo’s Estádio do Morumbi on November 23.
On Monday, I was positively certain that the dynamic duo had secretly touched down in Wales, setting up for a covert soundcheck at the stadium. The enchanting melodies wafting through the air only fueled this fan’s unfounded suspicions!
In addition, it’s been made clear that the brothers have brought on some new musical companions for their tour. Drummer Joey Waronker, along with guitarists Andy Bell, Gem Archer, and Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs are now part of the band.
According to a source, The Mirror was informed that due to the fresh lineup and the significant nature of their debut performance, the band plans to perform some songs within the venue itself.
Instead of beginning with a smaller performance or needing a couple weeks to regain rhythm, they don’t have that luxury. Moreover, both Liam and Noel aim for each night to be extraordinary.

This upcoming show is shaping up to be a massive return, and everyone involved seems to be putting significant effort into making it so. All signs suggest that this will be an extraordinary comeback tour.
As a loyal member of the Oasis crew, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of disappointment when Liam voiced his criticism on social media on Sunday.
Liam, aged 52, potentially angered the hardworking crew arranging Live ’25, the band’s first tour since their 2009 breakdown, by stating that their loved ones would likely be glad to see them take a break this summer.
In conversation with X, he jokingly remarked: “Our team members aren’t exactly popular, and it seems their spouses are always happy to see the last of them. They often tell me and the kids that they can’t believe we manage to tolerate them on a daily basis, let alone travel around the world with them. Just thought you’d find that interesting.” [sic]
It seemed like the performer was addressing rumors that Oasis staff members hadn’t received complimentary tickets for their friends and relatives, which is often viewed as a benefit of working there.
According to a source, the team will journey across the country alongside the band, preparing the stages for performances, and will be available during the concerts should their assistance be required (by Daily Mail’s Katie Hind).
They typically leave their loved ones behind, but are often offered passes to bring their family along for a show visit instead.

However, the Gallagher brothers have forbidden any complimentary tickets from being distributed. The team is greatly upset about this situation. Many of them have previously toured with well-known artists and haven’t encountered anything quite like this before.
It appears that Oasis primarily focuses on earning maximum profits. One might wonder if their concern is for the fans, or if the underlying motivation is purely financial?
The band recently confirmed a limited number of extra tickets will be released ahead of July.
On Wednesday, the band’s official site announced that as the concerts approach, there might be an opportunity to purchase a small quantity of extra tickets, only after the final seating arrangements have been verified and the show’s technical aspects have been perfected.
‘These final production releases will happen over the coming days.’
After the band announced their reunion shows, countless enthusiasts stood by for long hours in online queues, eagerly anticipating purchasing sought-after tickets. However, they discovered that due to a ‘dynamic pricing’ approach, ticket prices had escalated significantly.
