Noel Gallagher is mobbed by fans as he leaves his hotel for Heaton Park for the first of five sold-out reunion gigs after swarms of Oasis devotees descend on the band’s home city

On the eve of their highly anticipated concert at Heaton Park, Noel Gallagher exited his hotel in Manchester brimming with enthusiasm, surrounded by enthusiastic fans.

However he was unable to get near the car as it was surrounded by fans ahead of the upcoming show. 

On Friday, even before its start, fans were already lining up for the first of their five sold-out reunion concerts at Heaton Park.

This coming Friday, the band will perform before an audience of 80,000 people in their hometown, Manchester, having started their global tour a week ago in Cardiff.

At Heaton Park, which spans over 600 acres in both Bury and Manchester, you’ll find concerts that are uniquely situated outside of stadiums. In contrast, other shows in the UK typically take place at venues such as the Principality Stadium, Wembley, and Murrayfield.

This morning, enthusiastic admirers had been queuing up early, hoping to secure a prime spot in line before the performance, so they could have a great vantage point for the show.

Groups of people were spotted setting up camp along the roadside as lines began to form, surrounded by numerous camping chairs and a multitude of sun hats.

On a scorching 28-degree day in Manchester, overheated crowds could be spotted waving fans or seeking shade under parasols.

Excited fans were seen gathering in huge crowds as they awaited the gates opening for the show. 

To their joy, the event opened ahead of schedule, giving fans the chance to secure a prime location for the performance within the park.

However the sibling duo weren’t set to take to the stage for around five hours.

Last August, the brothers revealed plans for the Oasis Live ’25 tour, commencing with concerts in Cardiff, followed by performances throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Although fans were thrilled about the reunion, many became enraged when they discovered that standard tickets in the UK and Ireland increased dramatically, from £148 to £355.

The dispute led the government and the U.K.’s antitrust regulator to promise a review of how businesses employ flexible or changing prices.

In July, August, and September, Oasis will travel to Wembley Stadium in London, Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, and Croke Park in Dublin following their performances in Manchester during those months.

The group will then head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America.

The film, crafted by the mind behind Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight, is being simultaneously developed during the band’s reunion tour.

However, concerns persist that Oasis’ hometown concert in Manchester might be disrupted by unauthorized attendees due to reckless TikTok users sharing tips on how to illegally gain entry into the venue.

Due to a high number of people wanting to attend, compared to the available tickets, for the first time in Manchester after 16 years, TikTok users are posting advice on bypassing security measures.

One possibility could be: Instead of going over the double fence, you might consider climbing trees, or alternatively, try swimming across the park’s lake if it has one for boating.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d put it this way: “To access the tranquil haven of Oasis, follow my lead; we need to scale this nearby fence first.

Another said: ‘You get in the water, you’ve got to swim and then you’ll get in.’ 

Manchester City Council has criticized the videos and encouraged ticketless fans to immerse themselves in the “fantastic” ambiance of the city center as an alternative.

Greater Manchester Police will implement an extensive and noticeable law enforcement effort to discourage misconduct.

Each year, a sprawling 600-acre open area plays host to the Parklife festival, and it was here that Oasis performed their final city concert on June 7, 2009.

The previous year, authorities issued a clearance directive for the park to keep fan groups without tickets from assembling outside.

At the SJM Concerts-led event, it has been announced that around 2,000 security personnel and an substantial amount of police officers will ensure safety during the proceedings.
