Noel Fielding’s ‘Dick Turpin’ Comedy Show Abruptly Cancelled After One Series

It appears that the production of Noel Fielding’s comedy series, titled “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin,” has unexpectedly been canceled during filming.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share my excitement over the remarkable role taken up by the 51-year-old star of The Great British Bake Off – yours truly! Last spring, on the grand stage of Apple TV, I stepped into the shoes of the legendary highwayman, a performance that left audiences spellbound in a multi-million show’s first series.

As I eagerly awaited the resumption of our production for the second series following the festive break, the unthinkable occurred – we were informed that filming wouldn’t proceed as planned.

According to a source close to the TV industry, they were naturally puzzled and enraged by the unexpected revelation, as it involved significant financial investments, numerous months of preparation, and countless labor hours.

Now, it essentially signifies that each of them is currently unemployed and actively seeking new opportunities, yet they’ve yet to receive a comprehensive account as to why.

According to their report, the source confirmed that Noel was not back following the holiday season. TopMob reached out to Noel’s representatives for a statement.

In this humorous TV show, Noel takes on the role of the notorious robber known as the highwayman, whose life spanned from 1705 to 1739, depicted in an imaginative retelling.

Accompanied by a group of charming misfits, Richard navigates both the thrilling peaks and disheartening valleys of fame, constantly striving to elude the grasp of the Chief of the Thieftakers.

Claire Downes, Stuart Lane, and Ian Jarvis from The Outlaws and The Job Lot are the creators and writers of this work, while Noel and Jeremy Dyson from League Of Gentlemen served as script advisors.

In addition, stars such as Tamsin Greig, Hugh Bonneville, and Greg Davies are part of the ensemble. The streaming begins on the platform from March 1st.

This coming spring, it’s expected that Noel will begin shooting the sixteenth season of The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4, where he shares hosting duties with Alison Hammond.

After Noel confessed about the things that left him utterly enraged on the set of The Great British Bake Off, it turns out that both Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith were involved.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that I, along with my wonderful co-star Alison Hammond and our esteemed panel of judges, will be back on your screens this week, ready to welcome a brand-new group of talented individuals for the fifteenth series!

It appears that Noel continues to feel as enthusiastic about the program as he did initially, and he expresses a strong sense of care towards this year’s group of bakers.

Reflecting on the moment that left him in tears as he had to send one of them back home, the television figure admitted something.

During a conversation with The Guardian, he mentioned that there are some exceptionally talented bakers inside the tent this season. Interestingly, the level of skill seems to be consistently improving.

Noel remarked, “The extraordinary group of young bakers surpasses expectations for their age, making this a standout year, one of the finest we’ve seen so far.

I find myself deeply drawn to the people around me. Their well-being stirs a sense of guardianship within me. If Paul and Prue treat them harshly, it sets me off completely. It’s heartbreaking when they depart, but this year, I grew especially attached to one baker. When it was time for them to leave, I shed tears.
