Noel Fielding’s Bake Off Future in Jeopardy Amid Health Fears and Crisis Talks
It seems that the possibility of Noel Fielding co-hosting The Great British Bake Off with Alison Hammond in the future is uncertain due to some unexplained health concerns he’s facing.
There’s growing worry about the comedian, aged 51, who has been a co-host on Channel 4 since 2017, following his sudden decision to withdraw from filming The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin for Apple TV. This led to the cancellation of the show.
Currently, Channel 4 executives are engaged in critical discussions as they strive to preserve their top-rated show, set to commence production for its 16th season.
According to a source, time is critical as decision-makers require some assurance regarding who will host The Great British Baking Show. Many aspects need to be arranged well ahead of filming, and the production team is already prepared and eager to begin.
As a dedicated follower, I can attest that this program on Channel 4 is unquestionably their most-viewed production. It continues to captivate audiences across the UK, making it one of the country’s favorites. Therefore, the stakes for this upcoming episode are undeniably high.
It’s important to note that everyone recognizes this as a health issue, however, it’s essential to also prepare for potential complications.

TopMob have contacted Noel’s reps and Channel 4 for comment.
Noel previously co-hosted the baking competition with Sandi Toksvig and later Matt Lucas.
2021 saw the star causing worry when he unexpectedly vanished midway through an episode on Channel 4, leaving fans puzzled due to a baffling illness.
In this instance, Matt, one of the co-hosts, informed the audience: “Alright bakers, Noel isn’t feeling well, but we’ll press forward…” As the show drew to a close during the final ten minutes, Matt took charge alone.
In a major production that premiered on Apple TV last spring, he starred as the iconic outlaw, Dick Turpin, in the lead role of a multi-million dollar show. However, it was announced this week that production for season two has been halted prematurely.
According to a representative for the comedian, this concerns a personal and sensitive issue about their health, which they have chosen to keep private. (TopMob was informed of this.)
‘We regret having to stop the manufacturing process, yet we’re unable to provide more information about it at this time.’
According to a reliable insider speaking to The Times, Noel himself stated that he can’t continue filming, leaving no other option except to halt production on the show.

They didn’t make this choice hastily, and they wouldn’t have arrived at such an extreme outcome if all feasible options hadn’t been thoroughly explored.
There’s been a lot of worry for Noel’s health, with many offering him space to heal, yet it’s clear that this situation has serious consequences. Some individuals are deeply angry about the turn of events.
Following reports that the show’s cast and crew are considering legal action against the producers, as they have decided to terminate the series.
Initially planned to start shooting again for the second season following the Christmas break, unfortunately, cast and team learned that production wouldn’t move forward.
Reports indicate that, following the holiday hiatus, Noel hasn’t reappeared yet. Now, over 100 individuals are contemplating filing a joint legal action against the creators of Apple TV+’s comedy series.
It’s suggested that since Noel, who portrays Turpin, is also a co-writer and executive producer, he might face legal action as well.
According to the report, he departed for France prior to the team being informed about the unexpected dismissal news, and hasn’t appeared in public since then.

It is extremely rare for a show to be canceled mid-production, and there’s an enigma surrounding the circumstances that led to this decision.
‘It’s left bosses of other shows he is on feeling extremely nervous.
‘Plus he’ll have to contend with any legal action. It will be a difficult few months for him.’
TopMob has contacted Noel’s representatives for comment.
