Nobody Wants This star Adam Brody reveals surprising role he was desperate for in the ‘90s

In the ’90s of my career journey, there was one role I yearned for deeply, a dream part that I would have cherished if I had landed it. Adam Brody, the star we all adore, shared this sentiment about his early days in showbiz.

The performer, known for portraying Noah Roklov in Netflix’s romantic comedy series, has enjoyed a prosperous acting journey on television and cinema screens, boasting an impressive resume that features roles from shows like “The O.C.” and movies such as “Shazam!” and “Promising Young Woman.

Despite having a rich acting portfolio, Brody expressed during a roundtable discussion with Seth Rogen, Ted Danson, Julio Torres, John Mulaney, and Jason Segel (all hosted by The Hollywood Reporter), that he had long yearned for a part in a legendary children’s television show.

Back when I initially settled in Los Angeles, there was a show called “Blue’s Clues” that I deeply desired to be part of, Brody reminisced. I gave it my all, but it was around 1999 and I auditioned for the role, longing for it, yet didn’t secure it. Still, if I had gotten the chance, it would have been a dream come true. The show is aimed at toddlers, but those early episodes hold a special place in my heart.

Brody mentioned that he tried out for the character of Henry Parker on the teen series “Dawson’s Creek.” He remembers feeling anxious while reading lines alongside Scott Speedman, as he was quite nervous at the time. However, it was Michael Pitt who eventually landed the role, appearing frequently during the third season.

Although Brody laments the passed chance on Blue’s Clues, the actor is set to feature in the second season of Nobody Wants This, which will debut on Netflix on October 23rd.

The declaration was warmly received by enthusiasts, who acknowledged the swift release of new episodes. One fan expressed their delight on YouTube by saying: “I’m pleased to hear this news. It seems speedy in a positive sense. Previously, shows have been taking an excessively long time to resume.

A spectator commented, “It’s incredible how this series already has its second season out just a year after the first! I didn’t think I’d witness such quick sequels like this anymore; typically, it takes two years for another season to air.

Nobody Wants This returns on Netflix on 23 October.
