Sydney Sweeney Comments on the Status of Her Gundam Movie
Sydney Sweeney, known for her role in Euphoria, confirmed that the highly anticipated project she joined in April is still actively in development. When asked for an update, she simply stated, “There is every single day.”

Yoshiyuki Tomino created Gundam, which first appeared in the 1979 anime series Mobile Suit Gundam. The story is set in a future called the Universal Century, where most of humanity lives in space colonies. Tensions rise between these colonies and the people remaining on Earth, eventually leading to war between the Principality of Zeon and the Earth Federation.

The original Mobile Suit Gundam was a huge success, and it launched a franchise that continues to be popular today.
The popular series Gundam has expanded beyond animation into various forms of media, including video games, manga, novels, and collectible plastic models called Gunpla. A live-action Gundam TV movie, G-Saviour, was also created to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary.
Sydney Sweeney stars as boxer Christy Martin in the new movie Christy. While the film hasn’t been a box office hit, earning $1.3 million during its opening weekend and $1.9 million in total domestically so far.
