No more Formula 1 races on ESPN for over two months

As a die-hard Formula 1 fan who has spent countless hours glued to my TV screen during race days, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment with the current schedule shift. With ESPN showing eight out of nine races and then abruptly halting for two whole months, it feels like a long, cold winter is upon us!

Over the past nine Formula 1 races, eight of them (including the last six consecutively) have been broadcast live on ESPN. The latest among these races took place this past Sunday at the Marina Bay Street Circuit during the Singapore Grand Prix.

During the current racing season, we encountered a period of four back-to-back events that weren’t broadcasted on ESPN. Instead, these races were aired on either ABC or ESPN2. This was the longest such uninterrupted sequence in the historic 24-race 2024 season.

For approximately nine weeks, ESPN didn’t have any races airing, and we’re experiencing another nine-week period now, but this time, it will only include three races.

No more races on ESPN for two months

Here are the upcoming Formula One races: The United States Grand Prix will take place at Circuit of the Americas on October 20, followed by the Mexico City Grand Prix at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on October 27, and concluding with the Sao Paulo Grand Prix at Interlagos Circuit on November 3.

Here are the upcoming Formula 1 races according to their respective broadcasters:

In the 2024 schedule, these three races make up the second set of three consecutive events. However, there is a four-week gap before the United States Grand Prix, followed by another three-week break between the Sao Paulo Grand Prix and the race in Las Vegas on November 24th, which will take place on the Las Vegas Strip Street Circuit.

This upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix, marking the start of the season-ending three-race series, will be the twelfth and last event broadcasted on ESPN in this year.

Get ready for the last two races of the season – the Qatar Grand Prix at Lusail International Circuit on December 1st and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit on December 8th, which will be broadcast on ESPN2. Consider starting a free trial with FuboTV now to ensure you catch all the excitement before the US Grand Prix in a few weeks!
