NitetTimeClasher becomes first ever signed Pokémon GO player
A first for Pokémon GO and a first for NiteTimeClasher.
As a devoted Pokémon GO fan, I’m thrilled to share that history has been made in our community! I, NiteTimeClasher, have had the honor of being the first-ever Pokémon GO player to be signed by an esports team – Luminosity Gaming. The announcement was made just before last weekend’s Vancouver Regional Championships.
Among the well-known contenders in Pokémon GO, NiteTimeClasher stands out prominently. Not only does he excel as a player, but he’s also made a name for himself as a knowledgeable commentator in the field.
Luminosity, an organization, is known for its involvement in Pokémon. Recently, they joined the league of teams participating in Pokémon UNITE. This move might prompt other esports teams to think about recruiting players from other popular Pokémon games as well.
Who is Pokémon GO player NiteTimeClasher?
As NiteTimeClasher, I’ve been making waves in the Pokémon GO competitive scene over the past few years. I snatched the victory at the 204 Liverpool Regional Championships, and managed a respectable third place at the 2025 Louisville Regional Championships. Consistently, I find myself advancing deep into tournaments. My recent performance at the EUIC event in London was particularly noteworthy – I was the top-performing American there, marking a significant leap from my 33rd-48th place finish at the 2024 EUIC. This improvement seems to have piqued the interest of Luminosity.
In his first appearance for Luminosity, he concluded the latest Vancouver Regional Championships with a 5th or 6th position finish, marking a strong debut for him.
NiteTimeClasher has been a skilled competitor in esports for quite some time now, starting his competitive journey in Clash Royale eight years ago while he was still attending middle school. He went on to become the first professional Pokémon GO player to be signed, showcasing his impressive skills early on. This promising debut saw him finish in a very commendable 7th-8th place, hinting at even greater things to come for this talented individual.
Besides scheduling gameplay, NiteTimeClasher provides mentoring services, allowing players of all abilities to arrange a session with the latest recruit from Luminosity. He’s proud to say that he’s helped learners achieve tier 16 at regionals, qualify for international tournaments, and top the leaderboards in GBL. With his guidance, anyone can aspire to reach these milestones!
With the help of Luminosity, NiteTimeClasher is planning to take part in Pokémon GO events happening in both Atlanta and Stockholm. Following these events, he will then focus on Pokémon Worlds.
