Nintendo has released a new mobile game called Fire Emblem Shadows for both Android and iOS. Developed by Intelligent Systems and DeNA, this game is a spin-off of the popular Fire Emblem series and offers a new, real-time strategy gameplay experience.

Experience the thrill of uncovering the traitor while battling others

As a Fire Emblem fan, I’m really excited about Shadows! It’s doing something totally new with the series by adding a social deduction element to the classic role-playing. Basically, in each battle, one of your three allies is secretly working against you, and you have to figure out who it is by voting them out. It’s so thrilling because every single vote feels important and can completely change how the battle plays out!

In this game, you’ll be either a follower of light, trying to escape a maze, or a follower of shadow, working to trick everyone else. After each round, players vote on who they believe the traitor is – it’s similar to games like Among Us, but the stakes feel higher and the decisions more impactful.

Players can discover the story by playing both perspectives

The game also creates a sense of urgency with battles that have time limits, forcing you to quickly identify the traitor. Personally, I enjoy playing as the traitor more – it’s just more fun! You’ll also be able to use weapons and magical abilities during battles, and discover the full story by experiencing the game from both sides.

A cool part of the game is managing your items – you can trade with other players using in-game currency. As someone new to the series, I’m excited to see if this game lives up to expectations, though I’ve heard many longtime fans aren’t thrilled with it.

Fire Emblem Shadows is now available for mobile devices! You can download it on both Android through the Google Play Store and iOS through the App Store.
