Nintendo Switch Online members can now get special, limited-time icons and backgrounds inspired by the new Pokémon Legends: Z-A game.
New icons inspired by Mario Kart World and Pokémon Legends: Z-A are coming to Nintendo Switch Online. These icons will be released in groups, and the first set will only be available until February 2nd at 4:59 PM. You’ll see different icons rotating in the Nintendo Switch Online app every Sunday, with the final set appearing on February 22nd.
Currently, 11 icons and 4 backgrounds inspired by Pokémon Legends: Z-A are available, and you can get them using Platinum Points.

How to redeem these limited-edition icons
If you’re new to Nintendo Switch, you can get these special icons by opening the Nintendo Switch Online app on your phone or tablet and checking the Missions & Rewards section.
In the Missions & Rewards section, you’ll find icons you can buy with Platinum Points, sorted by game. Just find Pokémon Legends: Z-A to see all the available icons for that game.
To get these icons, you need to be a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber or member. Having enough Platinum Points isn’t enough – you must already have a subscription to redeem them.
Adding more icons lets you personalize your Nintendo Switch profile, so your friends can easily spot you when you’re playing your favorite games.
How to get more Platinum Points
Platinum Points are rewards you earn by finishing certain tasks on platforms like the Nintendo Switch Online app and the My Nintendo website. You can think of them as a special type of loyalty currency.
Many of these tasks are quite simple, like playing a game once a week, saving your progress, and connecting to Nintendo’s online features.
