Ninja Turtles Trailer Sets Date for Fan-Favorite TMNT Movie’s Theatrical Rerelease

A fan-favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is returning to theaters this spring.

Released in 1991, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze is the follow-up to the 1990 film. Michael Pressman directed the movie, and the turtles are voiced by Robbie Rist (Michelangelo), Adam Carl (Donatello), Brian Tochi (Leonardo), and Laurie Faso (Raphael).

To celebrate its 35th anniversary, Fathom Entertainment, Saga Arts, and Warner Bros. Pictures are bringing the classic film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze back to the big screen in stunning 4K. You can watch the announcement trailer below!

The classic movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze is coming back to movie theaters across the country from March 13th to 19th, 2026.

Get ready for more turtle power! Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael are back in a brand new, action-packed adventure. This time, the villainous Shredder has discovered the secret behind the Turtles’ incredible abilities – the ooze that mutated them. Now even more dangerous, Shredder is determined to defeat the Turtles once and for all, and he’s brought along new threats, Tokka and Rahzar, to help him.

Along with the main movie, this special anniversary event includes a brand-new short film called “The Ninja Turtles: Revolutions.” It offers a unique look inside the creative process of TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman, showing his journey through the history of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. A recent announcement explains that viewers will feel like they’re sitting with Eastman at his drawing table as he shares the story and evolution of the TMNT legend.

Following a successful theatrical rerelease of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie last year – which coincided with its 35th anniversary and earned about $3.7 million in the US – this news has been announced.
