Ninja Party Review: A chaotic combat twist on the hit Fall Guys formula

NEKKI has just introduced their latest game, a 12-player title dubbed “Ninja Party,” which blends elements of massive multiplayer action, adrenaline-pumping parkour, intricate obstacle courses, and unusual weaponry. The game also features an array of characters and cosmetics. In this Ninja Party review, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the game and offering an unbiased rating.

In this critique, I delved into Ninja Party on the Motorola G32 (Android device), accumulating approximately 20 hours of gameplay. This extensive session granted me a comprehensive understanding and immersion in all aspects of the game, serving as a strong basis for an insightful evaluation.

Chaotic combat and unique mechanics make the game stand out

To begin, let’s delve into the gameplay of Ninja Party. Here, you initiate a battle royale involving yourself and 11 other contestants, where your objective is to knock opponents out, dodge obstacles, and progress through stages, ultimately surviving until all others have been defeated and you are the lone victor.

As a fan, I must say, the gameplay is delightful, enabling me to leap through the arena and dish out some nifty moves on my foes. A noteworthy aspect that caught my attention is the respawn feature – after a brief moment, I’m back in action each time I get eliminated, until either the required number of players for that round qualifies or I manage to score an impressive 400 points.

Apart from that, I’m really fond of the entertaining feature called Smashable vulnerability mechanism. When timed correctly by hitting an opponent with stars above their head, they get knocked out, which is incredibly rewarding. With continued play, additional game modes become accessible, such as a cooperative mode for twice the mayhem and fun.

In contrast to NEKKI’s previous titles like the thrilling duels of Shadow Fight or the agile prowess of Vector, this new game takes a unique turn. It eschews the emphasis on technical skills or speedrunning in favor of chaos, unpredictable comebacks, and the sheer joy of emerging victorious as the lone survivor.

The game offers fast-paced fun and replayability, but not to Fall Guys level yet

This game maintains high replay value due to its thrilling Deathmatch sessions and diverse game modes, reminiscent of ‘Fall Guys’. The matches are filled with exhilarating chaos and enjoyable moments. However, what sets it apart is the inclusion of engaging combat mechanics such as Smashable vulnerability, quick respawns, and continuous play that prevents monotony.

Additionally, the dynamic “Rumble mode” provides a strong mix of variations, while features such as “Air-Drop” enhance the game’s allure. Notably, you can collaborate with friends and share in the excitement. However, it doesn’t quite match the large-scale fun found in Fall Guys’ party-game experience at this time.

The game’s vibrant visuals and balanced audio keep you engaged

In terms of the game’s aesthetic aspects, it maintains a straightforward yet highly impactful approach to both graphics and sound design. The game’s colorful, comical character designs and overall visuals add an extra layer of enjoyment to your gaming adventure.

I found the diverse gaming areas particularly captivating, with the challenge-oriented spaces being particularly memorable. Furthermore, the background music and sound effects harmoniously complemented the action within the game. They neither interfere nor annoy, allowing for an immersive gaming experience without the need to silence the game.

Smooth, responsive controls with a clean, user-friendly interface

In a straightforward and comfortable manner, Ninja Party excels at managing controls and user interface design. Everything remains uncluttered and accessible, ensuring a seamless experience that doesn’t leave users feeling disoriented or overpowered with options. The UI is distinct and organized, making it simple to explore and locate whatever you need.

The icons are clearly comprehensible, and the selected fonts give everything a neat appearance. Moreover, I find the controls exceptionally smooth and reactive, be it during combat or parkour sequences. So far, I’ve encountered no problems with the buttons.

Fair in-app purchases available, but no pressure to spend

Ninja Party offers various in-app purchases such as:

1. Exclusive Ninjas (referred to as Rare Ninjas)
2. Daily Specials (similar to Daily Deals)
3. Bonus Cards

The currencies used within the game are:

1. Gold Coins
2. Rubies
3. Shadow Coins

Daily Specials provide access to Common and Rare Ninjas, weapon skins, avatars, and animations.

The game doesn’t force you to spend money because there are other ways to collect the currencies. You can do so by playing frequently (grinding) and also by choosing to watch ads. Consequently, this means that you can comfortably play the game without spending a dime.

Final Verdict

Ninja Party offers an engaging experience filled with parkour, challenges, and plenty of chaos. From the get-go, you’ll find yourself immersed in the game as you compete against 11 other players, testing out various weapons along the way. If you’re a fan of multiplayer battles or parkour action, this game is definitely for you!

In a jiffy, I thoroughly enjoyed my gaming session, exploring the Rumble mode while wielding various weapons such as the Katana, Frying Pan, Bazooka, Gloves, among others. To put it simply, this game combines rapid action, parkour moves, weapon skins collection, cross-platform compatibility, and a host of other features that make it an absolute must-play!
