Nikki Sanderson, 42, gives birth to a baby boy! Coronation Street star welcomes her first child with partner Anthony Quinlan

I’m so thrilled to share some wonderful news! Actress Nikki Sanderson and her partner, Anthony Quinlan, have welcomed their first child – a beautiful baby boy! Congratulations to the happy couple!

The 42-year-old soap opera actor shared the happy news on Instagram: their baby boy arrived a few days early.

On Saturday, Nikki posted a photo on Instagram of her and Anthony’s son, who she hasn’t named yet, and simply wrote, ‘Hello world.’

She wrote with the photo: ‘Happy due date, sweet boy! You arrived a few days early and have already brought us so much happiness.’

‘Daddy and Mummy love you so much Son.’

Nikki’s celebrity friends quickly filled the comments section with messages of congratulations after she announced she was a new mom. Denise Welch wrote, ‘Nikki!!! Oh my gosh!! You’re a mummy! We’re so happy for both of you!’

Strictly Come Dancing’s Gorka Marquez excitedly shared some great news, saying ‘OMG, BEST NEWS GUYS!’ Hollyoaks actress Jessica Fox joined in the congratulations, writing ‘Massive congratulations! Well done everybody!’

Helen Skelton showed her support with heart emojis, and Hollyoaks star Haiesha Mistry wrote, ‘Huge congratulations ❤️❤️❤️.’

Nadine Mulkerrin, who also used to be on Hollyoaks, congratulated the couple, playfully commenting on their impressive hair. She added a string of kisses to her message.

Emmerdale actress Charley Webb shared a sweet message, saying the new baby had a lot of hair, just like her dog, Buster. She welcomed the little one with lots of love.

Nikki recently learned the sex of her baby and shared that she and her partner, Anthony, were simply thrilled to be expecting a healthy child. They hadn’t hoped for a boy or a girl – they were just overjoyed with the news.

Deep down, I always expected to have a son, and my family agreed. I constantly pictured myself holding a baby boy.

In an interview with Closer, Nikki shared that Anthony is excited to have a son who will be a little Manchester United fan, just like him!

While pregnant, Nikki mentioned she had strong cravings for sweets, felt nauseous in the mornings, was carrying the baby low, and had noticeably radiant skin – often called the ‘pregnancy glow’.

Nikki, who left her role on the soap opera Hollyoaks last April, told The Mirror that she and her partner are thrilled to be expecting a baby.

She said: ‘We’re happy to say it’s going to be a lovely little spring baby.’

Anthony, a former actor from Hollyoaks and Emmerdale who now owns an online fitness and supplement company, excitedly shared that he and his partner are expecting a baby. He said he’s thrilled and eager to become a father, and can’t wait to welcome their new addition to the family.

Anthony and his partner began dating in early 2022. He went public with their relationship in April, sharing that he was very happy.

In a 2022 interview with The Sun, the celebrity confessed they’d always been attracted to her, describing her as ‘very attractive’.

He shared that they’ve been acquainted for a long time. He also mentioned rumors about them meeting at the gym, which they found amusing.

I messaged her privately, and things quickly progressed from there. We went on a date, and it’s been a wonderful relationship ever since. I’m incredibly happy with her – she’s a truly amazing person and a joy to be around.
