Nikke’s new maid unit wins fans over with Vtuber Houshou Marine vibes

In a new addition to their collection, the maid skins of Nikke now include Aegis’s Mast and Anchor, with Mast captivating players due to her strong resemblance to the popular VTuber, Houshou Marine.

In the hit mobile game Goddess of Victory: Nikke, a thrilling new look is being introduced for two characters from the SSR roster – Aegis’s Mast and Anchor. Starting with the Jan. 23 update, these characters will be transformed into charming maids, adding to the game’s festive atmosphere just before Valentine’s Day. This maid theme is a continuation of previous Valentine’s updates, including those for Ade and Privaty in 2024, as well as Soda and Cocoa in 2023.

SSR Mast: Romantic Maid

Mast has introduced a fresh “Romantic Maid” skin that combines traditional black-and-white French maid style with a distinctive pirate-style headpiece, preserving the character’s lively and attractive charm. Members of the community have pointed out its strong resemblance to Houshou Marine, a well-known Japanese VTuber from Hololive who is recognized for her pirate theme and similar hair color.

From January 30th to February 19th, the character named “Mast: Romantic Maid” is featured in a special banner and has an upgrade on its rate. During this period, Mast will swap from her usual Submachine Gun (SMG) weapon to a new Machine Gun called “Romantic Heart.” However, her function as a Supporter within the team remains the same. By utilizing her Burst Skill, Mast boosts the attack power of all allies, making her an invaluable addition to any squad.

SSR Anchor: Innocent Maid

Starting a week before Valentine’s Day, from February 7th to the 27th, you’ll be able to obtain Anchor: Innocent Maid at an increased rate on the Special Recruit Banner. Similar to Mast, Anchor: Innocent Maid serves as a supportive character within your team. She restores the HP of all allies and strengthens the squad’s resilience with her Burst Skill, enhancing their overall stability.

The significant change is that the initial SR Anchor has been improved to SSR. Yet, it doesn’t carry a traditional maid aesthetic; instead, it incorporates elements such as a French maid headpiece and a black & white bikini piece. The overall feel and color scheme remain close to the original Anchor design.
