Nike is re-releasing a popular colorway from its Air Max collection: the Air Max 95 “Fresh Mint.” This shoe, originally released in 2009, is a favorite among fans and is making a comeback this summer as a women’s exclusive. The re-release stays true to the original design while also including an updated construction that sneaker enthusiasts will love.
The Air Max 95 “Fresh Mint” still looks fantastic, staying true to its original design. It features a clean white mesh base that fades into a classic grey and black on the wavy sides. What really makes this shoe stand out are the “Fresh Mint” details – a soft, bright green color used on the laces, the Nike Swoosh, and the Air cushioning inside. This provides a vibrant splash of color against the otherwise grey and black upper.
Okay, so the color is amazing, but honestly, what really has me excited about this 2026 retro is the sole! Nike brought back the “Big Bubble” Air Max setup, and it’s a huge deal. They’re using a bigger Air unit like they did with the very first Air Max 95s, and as a collector, that’s exactly what I’ve been waiting for! It just feels so much more authentic and really makes this release special.
While Nike hasn’t officially released pictures yet, photos coming from outside the US show the popular color scheme is coming back, and the shoe will feature a larger ‘Big Bubble’ design.
