Nike’s latest decision to reintroduce the classic Total 90 III SP in a more casual style has been well-received. This transition into everyday footwear seems to be successful, following the much-anticipated launch of the original color scheme. Now, Nike is unveiling a new “Black/Gum” variation.
Previously released versions of the Total 90 III SP featured a shiny patent leather look. However, this latest design deviates from that with a mattified finish, doing away with the glossiness characteristic of earlier models. This matte surface highlights the shoe’s inherent design features more prominently, lending it a more earthy, practical vibe.
The distinctive embroidered Swoosh subtly catches the eye, fitting perfectly with the shoe’s sleek, single-color design. The laces, resembling crochet work, boost the model’s classic charm, while the dark gray, worn-look collar and midsole provide depth and elegance. Lastly, the gum-colored sole ties everything together and pays homage to the brand’s skateboarding heritage.
