  • Look out for these three lead colorways to arrive on shelves this holiday season

Even though this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend might not be top of mind for many people five months later, the Nike GT Future is definitely still generating buzz. Unveiled during the festivities, it’s the latest model in the Greater Than (GT) series and has been subtly hinted at throughout the year, with Wale spearheading its launch. Although it was already widely known, an official announcement from Nike Basketball was made yesterday, detailing the features of this stylish performance shoe after it was showcased in their special 20+ shoe SNKRS presentation.

The Nike GT Future boasts a striking, ultra-modern design with its sculpted upper, prepared to deliver top-tier performance. Underneath its streamlined exterior lies a blend of a full Zoom Strobel and Cushlon 3.0 midsole, complete with a forefoot Air Zoom unit. This exclusive Nike Basketball technology empowers players to be swift and agile as they maneuver past defenders and leap into action. The upper features an interior bootie that’s secured by a padded heel lock system for a snug fit, ensuring precise containment. Among the various colorways that have been unveiled so far, the “Lightning,” “Metallic,” and “Fire” versions are expected to be the first to hit the market.

At this moment, we don’t have a specific launch date set for the Nike GT Future. Keep an eye out for announcements, as it’s expected to hit stores during the holiday season and will be available through Nike SNKRS and various international retailers. The original price was $190 USD, but due to recent price increases by Nike, the current cost might have gone up.
