Night Slashers: Remake Brings a New Version of the 1993 Beat ’em Up to Xbox Later This Month
As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for nostalgia and a soft spot for beat ’em ups, I can hardly contain my excitement over the impending arrival of Night Slashers: Remake! Growing up, I remember spending countless hours at the arcade, pounding buttons in a frenzy against hordes of zombies, vampires, and werewolves. The original game was a gem, and this remake promises to elevate that experience with enhanced graphics, local co-op mode for up to four players, and new features like combos, jump attacks, grapples, and running strikes.
As an enthusiastic gamer, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll soon get my hands on Night Slashers: Remake! This revamped and enhanced edition of the 1993 Data East arcade scrolling beat ’em up is set to release on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC. Can’t wait to jump in!
Instead of getting into fights with thugs, Night Slashers puts you in the role of a team of four exceptional fighters – an American cyborg monster hunter called Jake Hunter, Christopher Smith who is a European vampire slayer, Hon Hua Zhao, an Asian martial arts master, and Liu Feilin, a Chinese opera singer who possesses special abilities. The monsters you’ll face are not ordinary street thugs but creatures such as zombies, vampires, and werewolves.
Progressing through various levels, including a hidden one, you’ll obliterate hordes of monsters in bursts of red chaos. This climaxes with an epic battle against a formidable boss to prevent a catastrophic monster uprising that could end the world. The game offers a local multiplayer mode for up to four players, featuring combos, jump attacks, grappling mechanisms, and swift running strikes.
In some situations where victory seems impossible, you can release special attacks that clear the screen as a trade-off for health. This strategy could help turn things around. Prepare for cartoonish violence, challenging modes, diverse settings, and much more when Night Slashers: Remake debuts on 26th September for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
