Niecy Nash Reveals Working with Kim Kardashian: No Reality Show Experience Needed!
Actress Niecy Nash shares insights about collaborating with fellow star Kim Kardashian during their time working on Ryan Murphy’s latest project for Hulu, entitled “All’s Fair.
Kim (age 44) and Niecy (age 54) have become part of the esteemed cast for the upcoming drama, alongside notable stars such as Naomi Watts, Teyana Taylor, Glenn Close, and Sarah Paulson.
It was recently announced that Brooke Shields also landed a role.
The series will trace Kim’s journey as she portrays a commanding lawyer situated in Los Angeles, leading a flourishing law firm predominantly run by women.
During a chat at Sundance Film Festival, Niecy shared her thoughts about the upcoming TV show that is expected to debut in September 2025 on Hulu.
‘Well I’m doing a new Ryan Murphy series called All’s Fair. It’s a legal drama.
In her remarks at The Indie Directors’ Lounge hosted by Ericka Nicole Malone Entertainment in Park City, Utah on January 25, she highlighted that the firm, which is one of the leading women-led law firms specializing in divorce cases in Los Angeles, is spearheaded by Kim Kardashian.
She continued: ‘I’m there with Naomi Watts, Glenn Close and Teyana Taylor. And it’s a good time.’
Responding to a query from a DailyMail.com journalist regarding collaboration with Kim Kardashian, she shared, “I appreciate women in general, and to address your question directly about Kim Kardashian – she is among the kindest individuals I’ve encountered.
she continued to clarify to the close-knit audience that she has ‘rarely watched’ the mother of four on their well-known family’s reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
She hadn’t the chance – a fact she made clear to her because I shared it with her – to watch her performance. Since I hadn’t watched it before, I lacked any prior experience for comparison.
‘But meeting her in person and working with her, she does not phone it in.’
In an announcement, Niecy (who is married to Jessica Betts) stated, “She’s dedicated and pours her heart into every project. I believe the audience will truly appreciate our show due to her efforts.
And though you might not initially appreciate it, I assure you that her style is exceptional and will certainly captivate you. In fact, she’s absolutely nailing the latest fashion trends.
All’s Fair was announced in December 2023 as the first series under Ryan Murphy’s deal at Disney.
The series was developed by Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, who are additionally serving as executive producers alongside Ryan, Kim, and Kris Jenner in this project.
The filming for “All’s Fair” started in California during October 2024, with reports indicating that it took place not only in Los Angeles and Malibu but also in New York City.
During a brief pause from filming, Niecy posted on Instagram a picture showing her, Glenn Close, and Kim Kardashian all wearing identical black SKIMS sleepwear, which was generously given to the entire cast by the brand’s creator.

The three individuals exuded elegance while showcasing their nightwear against a golden backdrop, striking poses with one arm slightly raised and giving the peace symbol using their hands.
Kim reshared the picture on her Instagram Story, broadcasting her co-star’s post while Hip Hop Harry’s track “Pajama Party” played.
‘@skims pajama party on set,’ she wrote on the snap.
In October, Kim individually posted several selfies on Instagram with her latest co-workers, marking the commencement of their filming together.
‘All’s Fair,’ the SKIMS founder simply captioned the post.
During an episode in May on The Kardashians, the family matriarch Kris Jenner had a conversation about the series with director Ryan Murphy.
She drew a parallel between the series and her personal encounter with renowned divorce attorney, Laura Wasser, who is popular among celebrities.
She said something like, “There are just so many hilarious times with Laura and me that I find myself exclaiming, ‘Please, never make me do that again!'” She then chuckled.
In reply, Murphy jokingly commented that divorce attorneys usually don’t maintain a particularly tight bond with their clients, nor do they disclose all information to them.
Later on, if there’s another divorce, she might say something like, “Hey, remember our last chat? Please, never let that happen again,” Jenner quipped playfully.
It’s worth mentioning that Kim has been through several divorces, with her most recent one from Kanye West being finalized in 2022.
